This is all pretty ugly.
I was wondering why it was so quiet this morning.

I'm not familiar with US laws but does the fabrication of false evidence and entrapment count as treasonous behavior?

Depends on which side does it apparently.

Trump can't use Kremlin sources against Hillary say the Dems ... But they sure did in the Trump dossier they actually paid for.

Treason is pretty steep. I think an actual "state of war" has to exist for that to be charged.

As to the rest of it, at this point with all the other shenanigans going on, nothing would surprise me.

Prove that's what happened. I just proved Lynch let this lady in to lobby and requested she stay longer and then was still here 6 months after the extension was up ... Explanation?

You've proved nothing!

As far as the Magnitsky case that this lawyer lady represented, it has been settled for 2.6 pennies on the dollar, after Trump Fired Preet Bharra. The facts speak for themselves.

You Trumpsters, in your desperation, can come on these boards and try to sew doubt, deflection and blame. But it doesn't matter where it counts, in the hands of special investigator/prosecutor Mueller and his team of specialists.

Akhmetshin to Kushner to Parscale?

The FBI’s wide-ranging criminal investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election may include scrutiny of the Trump campaign’s San Antonio-based digital operation led by Parscale, and overseen by senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, CNN reported last week.

local news

The fly on the wall probably hears this: After introductions, Mr. Akhmetshin says, "I am here to help make your father-in-law President!" Mr. Kushner says, "Great!"

As they dig into the viralizing of such stories, congressional investigations are probing not just Russia's role but whether Moscow had help from the Trump campaign. Sources familiar with the investigations say they are probing two Trump-linked organizations: Cambridge Analytica, a data-analytics company hired by the campaign that is partly owned by deep-pocketed Trump backer Robert Mercer; and Breitbart News, the right-wing website formerly run by Trump's top political adviser Stephen Bannon.

Mueller is going to surprise you but you will probably hate him for it.

Remember Trump didn't oppose the appointment of a special prosecutor in any way. In fact he encouraged it. That should give you a hint what is happening right now.

Fusion gps co-founder cancelled his meeting with the Senate where he was going to testify.

That was to be expected. Accidental suicide when?

In the park, at 2:30 this afternoon.

(Damn, I hope it doesn't actually happen like that.)

Sounds like they've finished with all the major figures, found nothing, and need to cast a wider net to justify their paychecks.

You can't rewrite history! Trump was furious when Jeff Sessions recused himself! Trump's stupid big mouth is reason for the special investigator.

I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt

here's a question for all you "nothing burger" trump supporters...
there does seem to be enough facts to warrant the situation to be looked into... regardless of what you say.
there seems to no question that russia was meddling in our election process, to what extent isn't fully known yet.
and there does seem to be plenty of fact that seem to indicate that maybe, just maybe the trump campaign might have worked with them on this.... this meeting just being one of many!!!

here is the complaint that was filed against the trump campaign filed by some of those who have been harmed by the hacking of the dnc database...

www.documentcloud.org...

outside of weather or not this affected the election results...
having so much information on those who made contributions to the dnc has adversely affected american citizens... and more than likely the banks that were hit by identity fraud and lost money!!! and it opened many to identity fraud, not to mention having emberassing personal information that in at least instance harmed the relationship between family members.
one could argue that the dnc was rather dumb to have that information on their servers in email format, but
I would argue that if a politically party or candidate played a role to have all that information so irresponsibly dumped onto the internet for political purposes...
it would be close to treason on it's own!!

Democrats got dirt from a foreign power. Jr was willing to hear someone out.

Why do you care about him and not Democrats who actually did it?

Cuz this is a thread about Jr, which is the topic at hand. I don't believe in changing the subject to avoid admitting wrongdoing.

Were they at the meeting?

It would be illegal for ALL of them not just jr.
The fact that she tried to lobby others on capitol hill backs up jr's story does it not?

Which version of Jr's story, it changes by the day.

Back in the Cold War, the Soviet Union tried to influence America via propaganda (stating how wonderful things were in the USSR versus American failings [such as segregation, ex]) and through the extremist Left, found in the minuscule American Communist Party. Communist propaganda, Communist political party.

End of Cold War, Communism in Eastern Europe exited, Capitalism entered. The problem is, Russia fairly quickly turned into an oligarchy. Fast forward into the 21st century, with modern Russian propaganda (there is no Truth, every thinking is the Truth, truth is deliberately made fuzzy) and a new area in which to conduct nation on nation conflicts, cyberspace .

Whereas old-style intelligence focused on defense hardware and turning individuals, 21st cen intelligence focuses on populations to turn via cyberspace. There is still working in the political system, just no longer a Communist Party, any will do, because the new idea is that if you can't join them, beat them. IOW Russia can only make itself great again, if it can force other nations to fail.

Thus, Putin and his oligarchy was able to attack the American population in cyberspace and find a major (not minuscule) party run by fellow oligarchs and far right extremists to influence. This is not the old style one fish on a line, but purse seine fishing. Russia drags its net to scoop up as many people it can. We are most definitely not finished with everyone caught up.
