Sometimes I HATE this place!!!

I can't even begin to count the number of posts I've lost here! After writing a post, then posting, I get some error...and POOF! GONE.

It's frustrating beyond imagination!! Just gone.

I've re-written a couple, but most times I just say "screw it"

I don't know why this site won't let you recover a post (most do). You can't back up. If you don't copy the text off to a word pad or somewhere, on EVERY SINGLE post...you can lose a post here in a second. And, there's no way to recover them!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

(just wrote a long response to a post (kind of funny) and got an error...LOST.) DAMMIT!!

I tried to create a new topic on the Breaking News board. Typed it all out only to find the post and preview buttons missing.... :S

I have been trying to get on the site for over 2 hours to make a post .

I dont have that happen very often, but if its a long poat I do a text copy before I submit.

that was my issue tonight too, but I've had other similar issues in the past. Granted, some of them are mine, and I can deal with those, but that "page not found" is a death nail for a post unless you've got a copy of the text!!

If it happens so many times that you have had it before, it'd make sense. idk. once bitten, twice shy..

Get into the habit of 'ctrl+a' then 'ctrl+c' before you click 'post' or 'reply'.

I do this every time but it just took me ages to work out what the actual keys are I'm pressing. The autonomous mind is an interesting thing.

I don't share your hate but, I do share the frustration. Although I don't post often I have had this happen as well.
I've gotten in the habit, if it's going to be a lengthy (IMO) post, of highlighting the text, right clicking and copy.
In my experience if the post is 'lost' I can simply respond again and paste. There it is.
I'm not sure about the ctrl a, c, v and the like but, the above is simple for me. I like it to be simple.

Not so far. When that used to happen to me, I would make a point to remember to capture the content before hitting reply.

Okay, maybe "hate" was a bit strong, but I was frustrated. It was in the moment.

So yeah, maybe 'frustrated' is a better word.
