What's really sad is the more the democrats keep pushing on this Russia meeting thing the more likely it is the damning Hillary information will have to come to light and I'm quite certain that is going to be way worse for Hillary and the democrats than any of this will be for Trump or the Republican party.

This question which is deep rooted and as complex as anyone could ever fathom with all its facets and nuances of political loyalty, nationalism, blah blah blah, whose answer is equally as complex can literally be summed up in one very distinct and easy to understand sentence: Because they don't want to end up dead too!

Clinging to either party is the status quo we're all used to. To think beyond partisan politics forces one to confront very uncomfortable realities that many would rather not face - such as that both parties will collude to have legislation passed they swore they would never vote for, endless corruption, an ignored Constitution and acknowledging the fact that we don't control "our" government at all.

Instead of thinking about what's best for our country people can be told the narrative for the week; who to blame, what to mad about etc. It saves lots of laborious thinking and research that would show reality to be that we live under a one-party system - all controlled by corporations and special interests.

I can only speak for me, but I don't give her a free pass. I've moved on from her loss of the election, so there's no need to parse her every word and email any more.

I also accept that people--none other than the opposition party--undertook a years-long, thorough investigation. By some congress critters own admission, they were holding hearings to damage her standing in the polls. If there were anything--ANY shred of evidence--to convict, any of the republican-led committees would have gleefully let us know.

And finally, her name is used to derail otherwise interesting threads. It's like when someone steps into a full elevator, farts and runs out giggling before the door closes.

On edit - I hope you consider me to be a triggered snowflake. I rather like being called that. It's a signal that the person saying it holds people who disagree in contempt. You're not as clever as you think you are. In my line of work I am sometimes involved with recommending keynote speakers for events. About nine years ago, for example, Malcolm Gladwell pulled $150k for a 45-minute gig. He was just an author with several best sellers but the client wanted him to keynote the event.

Even someone washed up like Ben Stein can draw $50k for speaking. Before he began disgracing his name, Trump could likely pull more than $1m for a talk. Unless he is done in by scandal, he will be able to go back to commanding sky high speaking fees.

It's nice work if you can get it.

The exact same things could be said from the other side.

You could find a replace the word Clinton with Trump and re-post it and it would make as much sense.

It's simple; There is a massive double standard.

Though it's beyond that. It's hypocrisy and plain blind ignorance. Someone here says the only evidence of corruption by the Clintons was rigging the election against Sanders. Are you kidding me? This massive crime of fraud aside, There are countless other incidents with all the evidence needed for investigations to be conducted. The only reason there haven't been already is because you don't hear it on CNN so not enough attention can be brought to the issues. If no one knows, nothing gets done.

But the Trump haters will continue full steam ahead in their witch hunt.

The greatest irony of all this is that if these sheep had been paying attention all along, the Clintons would have been locked up long ago and Trump likely would not have won against the alternative candidate. Hell, the reason she lost is because luckily there are more people who are aware of Clinton corruption than they are afraid of Trump's illusory shortcomings...

I'm not a big fan of him. He's basically the face of capitalist America. He sounds pretty dumb when he talks, though I imagine that's because he often speaks unscripted which is a quality to be admired when compared to the talking TelePrompTers from before. Though after seeing his jovial interactions with world leaders like Putin it put me at significant ease. He does not seem like a bad guy. However that does not mean he's always a nice guy.

I'm not from America, so I really have no point of reference, but can any one of you say your life has been noticeably and provably impacted in a negative way since Trump took office? Bruised egos and pride aside?

Do ALL liberals / left support Hillary? I seriously doubt it, nor does she get a free pass. Just like not ALL Trump supporters are 100% on board with everything he says or does. I didn't want to vote for Hillary or Trump, as they are both garbage. I only voted Hillary because she is more experienced garbage, and has a lesser chance of hurtling the U.S. into war with a bunch of countries due to bungling. If she is found guilty of crimes.. off to jail with her.

One question: do you honestly think if all business dealings and behind-the-scenes stuff Trump has been involved in over the years, that he wouldn't be in jail as well? If you don't think so, you obviously don't get how billionaires operate.

I was reading an article recently that had surveyed global reactions, and the only country where US standing had increased under Trump was in Russia. The rest of the world, support for the US had fallen.
