I actually read an article that was comparing what he's doing now to Trump's early campaign. He's not really saying anything of substance but he doesn't have to because the media is treating him like a celebrity, not a politician. As a result he's getting tons of free good publicity, from serious political outlets no less, without actually having to say anything of substance.
