This thread is not about the legal side of what Trump Jr. and Jarred did. I am not saying anything illegal happened. I have no way to know if the President knew before now that his son lied to us and that Kushner lied to us. You can split legal hairs if you want to, but they lied to us.

I am disappointed and hope our President did not know. I really hope he did not know. If not then Kushner and his son has lied to him too...

What I think now is that Kushner needs to be ejected from the White House and Jr. will never have a political life. Ivanka may pay a price for their lies too...

This is bad and I am disappointed badly.

Illegal or not, It is my opinion that Jr. and Jarred lied and they colluded with Russians even if they got nothing out of it.

I hope the President was not aware...

Its not the first time Trump has lied, he lied when he said Obama had tapped his phones with the help of GCHQ.

His supporters did not bat a eye

This will be no different, they seem incapable of finding fault in him.

Things are still developing from my point of view.

What I understand is that a Russian approached Trump Jr. and Jarred with evidence that Hillary did something illegal.

They opted not to use the info, but never contacted the feds about a person (Hillary) doing something illegal. That may be a crime. But I'm not a cop or a lawyer, so I don't know.

That's what I know.

Am I wrong?

I feel like there are about 5 threads too many on this topic, and I feel like this OP could've been a post in one of the other 5 threads..

It's a Nothing Burger.

It's also isn't getting our ruined Healthcare system fixed.

Remember Billy Carter.

The President can have an idiot son or brother.

You are wrong. I am now a Donald Trump supporter. I am not supporting the lies of his son and Kushner and if the President knew about this then he will not have my support either.

Obama was a traitor to the USA. that is for another thread though.

Trump has lied about so many things I am sort of numb to it all but, I read that the same day Jr, Manafort, Kushner met the Russian. Trump sent his 1ST tweet about Hillary's "33,000 emails".

I don't think this one will be glazed over like the other times.

I am sure the Democratic candidates campaign did some stuff like this and they will not admit it unless being caught. It is the job of these campaigns to dig up any dirt on their opponent then to decide if they can use it without causing a negative effect.

If you do not want stuff like this happening, then make it law that candidates cannot lie or dig up dirt on each other. That will probably eliminate the job of president, since the best deceiver is the one that wins. You do not think that the president is elected because of their honesty do you? They all seem to have legal degrees so they know what they can get away with.

I think you need and everyone else needs to get these facts straight before coming to this silly conclusion of this being collusion.

the meeting between trump jr and this so called Russian national is Emin Agalarov he is a singer and business man, the only ties he has had to trump was being a sponsor of miss universe. there's been no evidence that this Russian lawyer has any links to the Russian government. Also a big red flag that this so called meeting was being set up by a "publicist" doesn't that seem abit strange?

Most likely this Whole email exchange was a ruse. To some how falsely incriminate with out any crimes being committed to further push this Russian narrative that is totally crap.

If some one emailed me and said I have information on Hillary, no matter what country they were born in, id for sure love to hear what they had to say.

At the end of the day it was all a catfish.
Yeah you could say regardless whether or not this meeting was on flase pretences it shows trump jr would have a meeting with a Russian........ But context is always important

So let me get this right.
Trump jr. Honeypotted into a meeting with a Russian lawyer.
Crazy music producer says that it is highly sensitive information from the Russian government from the crown prosecutor. Says the Russian government is in favor of Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton. (All of this is an opinion not fact BTW)
Trump jr. Manifold and Kirchner go to meeting to find out it's a whole lot of nothing.
Trump jr. Tweets out the entire timeline of the email and conversation with crazy music producer.
Looks silly? Yes. Politically damaging? Maybe for today.
Is it illegal or shows collusion with the Russian government? Hell no.

I get your point, but disagree. With all this crap about Russia, Jr and Kushner should have revealed this to the public long ago.

I feel apathetic.

Actually, I feel more outraged by people who act like they are outraged, than the alleged collusion. Party loyalists are worse than religious fundamentalists.

I've tried to imagine what kinds of things Trump could do that would justify outrage from Democrats and it's not easy.

From my understanding, they were lied to about that. They were told there was evidence that would be shown. There was no evidence.

Now, if they had evidence and did not give it to the law ... but then again, the law (FBI) had failed to prosecute when presented with pretty clear evidence earlier ... then we could talk, but is it a crime if not crime happened only insinuations that one could have if this and if that and if something else that never happened because the entire situation was a lie to begin with?
