I'm going with Venus. It can appear to move as it flickers blue and red, almost strobing.

Stellarium is a free app. and will let you know for sure.

Venus strobing & colour changing NEVER seen that, It's so bright it usually has a negative magnitude of -3.7 to -4.5.

Sirius the brightest star in the sky can do that

Awesome job!

Thank you for the effort!

Anyone stating that it was the moon.. well. Ether they are just trolling, or they find joy derailing possibly good threads. I cannot imagine this day in age, someone could confuse the MOON, for something out of the ordinary.

You haven't looked at enough threads then one member took a picture in daylight said it wasn't the Moon, time day location said the Moon was in view, another picture of the Moon from the same type of camera had the Moon the exact same size as his picture.

Exif data is interesting (Picture rotated to Landscape)

Camera Model [0x0110] = VS987
Colour Space [0xA001] = sRGB (1)
Lens F-Number / F-Stop [0x829D] = 180/100 ===> ƒ/1.8
Digitization Date/Time [0x9004] = 2017:07:10 03:35:14
Focal Length [0x920A] = 442/100 mm ===> 4.42 mm
Exposure Mode [0xA402] = auto exposure (0)
Digitized Subsecond Time [0x9292] = 603283
Image Height [0xA003] = 2988 pixels
Scene Capture Type [0xA406] = standard (0)
Scene Type [0xA301] = directly photographed image
Original Subsecond Time [0x9291] = 603283
Digital Zoom Ratio [0xA404] = 800/100 ===> 8
Exposure Program [0x8822] = n/a (0)
White Balance [0xA403] = auto (0)
Image Width [0xA002] = 5312 pixels

So Digital zoom used iso only 400 and 1/9 th second shutter speed even at f1.8 are any off those dots stars ?
Phone cameras even the best at night are not good for this type of subject you'd be as well to draw a sketch.

Venus can be observed scintillating due to proximity to the horizon and atmospheric conditions , it's not a regular occurrence but has been observed by astronomers.

Possibly more prevalent in the Southern hemisphere ?

Possibly mate but I guess it depends on the atmospheric conditions and the planets elevation down there.

Venus

Venus: NASA
Venus: NASA
Venus is the closest planet in size and mass to Earth. Sometimes it is called Earth’s sister planet.

Venus is named after the Roman god of love and beauty.

It reflects sunlight with a bright silver color. It is the second brightest object in the night sky after the moon and is sometimes mistaken for a UFO.

Venus does not have seasons as it does not tilt on its axis.

Venus being the brightest thing in the night sky besides the Moon. In Australia it is visible for the whole of July and is not lost in a sunset.

It was not Sirius that I was referring to.

Looks very similar to my sighting the orb I saw. If you google orbs in the sky, you will find lots of photos of similar orb photos, yours is a little different as their seems to be a break in the center however pretty much the same orb like object I saw towards my garden here in the UK. Both myself and my mother saw it and it had no noise, no real movement, seemed very steady in the sky, then almost just dissolved into the sky rather then moved away.

The feeling I got seeing it, made me feel ominously uncomfortable like, I should not be looking at it. How did you feel? Was interesting that you say you woke to it, like you felt its presence while asleep.

I didn't have any bad feelings. Although the thought did go through my head, the what if.. it was something other worldly.. Could it know I was watching it.

So, I ran outside, snapped a pic, then went back to bed!

I NEVER said any of those, I said I have never seen Venus change colour here in the Northern Hemisphere I can't even recall it scintillating because it's so bright and I only posted the Sirius video as an example of colour changing.
