An acrobat who plunged 100ft to his death in front of a 45,000-strong crowd at a Spanish music festival, was killed on the night that his partner had come to watched him perform live for the first time, it emerged on Saturday.
Fans watched in horror as Pedro Aunion Monroy, 42, fell to his death from a cube which had been hoisted above the stage as part of a tribute to Prince at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.
The 42-year-old had been performing at Mad Cool Festival in Madrid when he fell from a height of around 100 feet. The Spaniard, who appeared to be wearing a harness, was inside a box hanging from a crane.
Paramedics attempted to save the aerial dancer, but he died at the scene.

Did he simply forget to clip on his safety line or ... did the safety line break!
It had one job, one job and couldn't get it right.
The other possibility would be suicide.
We will have to wait until the investigation is completed.
