No matter which side you're arguing for... ya'll gotta realize that you're being distracted and misdirected by a non-issue.

This idiotic topic is now HOT on ATS... surely you guys and gals can see what's going on here. I can't believe you are all bickering and arguing over this. It's pathetic.

Seriously... stop acting like sheep. Discourse and strife over non-issues among the peasants is exactly how they win.

You are ALL falling for it.

Many Americans are dumber than dirt. I often ask myself how America has managed to become #1 superpower of the world with so many morons living in it.
Dumb hillbillies think Trump is some kind of outsider who will drain the swamp.

Swamp gittin' lower alla time...

This makes perfect sense to me given the pressure CNN is currently under (albeit mostly self inflicted). People crack under intense pressure.

I would expect more meltdowns too as AugustusMasonicus is totally correct - when organisations this big implode it is due to extremely poor management. And nothing is being done to correct it.

Personally I find it sad when great institutions implode.

Yes, you're right. Desperate people do desperate things. I should have seen it myself. I'm cringing for these folks. This is pitiable. The worst part is that I don't think they even get it... STILL! They're still believing their own publicity. Oh dear.

You know! That "false narrative" that the entire world isn't in love with Trump like his cult members are! Clearly Cillizza saw the video, thought it was a snub of some sort of and retweeted it with his overly enthusiastic "OMGOMGOMG" crap.

Did he jump the gun? Yes. Was it stupid? Yes. Should he be embarassed? Of course.

He said he knew the whole time but thought the edited version was funny. So he pushed fake news he knew was fake news because it fit his agenda and he thought it was funny.

Just CNN doing what it does best, triggering the triggerables!

You Trumpers fall for it every time.

Polish President called what they distributed fake news. The triggered ones are the CNN supporters haveing a 17 page meltdown trying to come up with every and any deflection possible, it's hilarious.

This thread tends to disgree with you.

It's currently at page 18.

Yep, but we should encourage them... every single one of their posts reveals them more fully and that is happening across all media and online at the moment. They are being made to destroy themselves.

Oh yeah. They better watch out "revealing" themselves.

I'm just curious, what do you think should happen? And who's going to do anything about it? Should the government round them up? Maybe arrest everyone who is critical of Trump?

Apologies, 18 pages of triggered CNN apologists.

If you stopped trying to defend the fake news CNN network and spent some time on the original links in the OP you would know that the original poster of the video is an anti Trump troll. He even commented on his own video and links another post about the new 'cult following' for the Polish First Lady.

Your semantic arguments are weak to say the least and we're left with the reality - that a video edited to show Trump in a bad light with a false narrative was pushed by CNN and then debunked as fake news by both the President of Poland and the full unedited video

Just wanted to add to this.

If we use your logic and say that Cizzilla retweeting this shows a desire by CNN to push a fake narrative and we take in to account the source of the video, then can we also say that Trump tried to push a racist narrative when he has retweeted content from white supremacist/racist sources?

fortune.com...

It appears we must now admit Trump has attempted to push a racist narrative, if we play by your rules.

I think the people should apply pressure to stop fake news wherever it is from anyone publishing it. Why don't you?

Do you apply the same standards to Donald Trumps own spreading of hyperbole and falsehoods?

I can't seem to remember you ever calling him out on his own statements that left something to be desired in the "truth" department..

Maybe I'm wrong though.

No one claimed they did it solely, why are you? Is it not wrong if others are also responsible?

Me?
I never accused CNN. You are the one who keeps defending the accusation
It was mentioned 3 times in the OP, by the OP . I'd quote it if it was easier to do on my device.

Why would we do that when we are basing the post on the CONTENT of the TWEET not the person they retweeted.

Try again? No one cares about the original person making the fake news video, we care about CNN's CONTENT when they retweeted the fake news.

You lost the argument so you revert to Trump.
There is one instance that Trump did indeed push a racist narrative - I believe it was related to statistics about black crime.

Please do because I looked and do not see anywhere them saying CNN is the only one involved and solely responsible for everything. Maybe I missed where they said that.

And their comparison to Trump falls short because in this thread we are judging the content of the tweet, and in his source they are saying the tweet Trump retweeted was ok, but the source was racist.

Terrible comparison.

You may want to ask someone else about that.

What content? All Cizzilla said was OMG.

I just have one question.

I accused OccamsRazor04 of having a melt-down and also of hair-splitting over this event. It IS true, he is having an 18 page meltdown and he is also splitting hairs on exactly what a "snub" is.

anyways...my question is...

will melt-down be the new trend word to call all Liberals?

such as snowflake...butthurt...triggered...fake news?

i hope so

I did not lose any argument. You have yet to present one.

Your logic is severely flawed and now you have to admit Trump pushes a racist narrative in order to cover your logic and ass.

Even I would not say Trump was pushing a racist narrative, but I guess that is the price we pay for playing the game by your rules.

Trump once tweeted some White Supremacy propaganda about black crime... so in that sense he was pushing racist fake news.
The views of the original poster outside the content of the tweet are not important, but when the content matches the views and it is propagated, those that propagate have to take responsibility - even if they only made a mistake.
