You confuse 1984 with Brave New World by Huxley...

All right, thanks for the heads up on this.

The Reddit user who initially claimed credit for President Donald Trump's tweet that showed Trump tackling CNN issued an apology Tuesday for the video and other offensive content he posted -- one day after CNN identified the man behind the account and attempted to make contact with him.

CNN:

I guess the video does sort of advocate violence against the press by the executive branch. Other than that, it was made in fun.

I'm not sure why CNN tried to track the guy down. It looks like they weren't successful, but it spooked him enough to issue an apology.

He was leaving a trail of the hate speech on the internet, which I think is fine, some people have weird opinions. It is up to each website to enforce their particular TOS.

I think they want to merge with AT&T or AT&T is going to buy them.

A merger would not be good but if CNN tanks, which lately they been losing a lot, AT&T could buy them for a song.

Another angle is, conspiracy to deprive civil rights, which only take 2 people and is a federal crime.

The editor signed off on that idiot kosinsky or whatever his name is, so there is enough people involved.

Judging by the amount of threads created daily in regards to CNN it's pretty clear that CNN has triggered a lot of Trump supporters. Not that they would admit it.

It is funny to watch, but I'd trade you CNN for Trumps Twitter feed. Neither are a good look for America right now.

So laughing at Cnn is being triggered? Man, the definition of "triggered" just changes day by day, doesn't it?

Does this mean I'm triggered, or am I merely observing that you are--or something else entirely? I'm so confused, or is it that you're confusing?

Or is that triggered? Oh, well, someone'll come along and straighten it all out, I'm sure. That way no one will be triggered anymore, and we'll all be happy, again.

Oh, good, it's confused, not triggered. I was some worried about that!!

Seriously though...

It could actually be some horrific combination of the two... Now wouldn't that be fun?

CNN managed to find a meme creator in a few hours...

Though, fittingly enough, they only found someone who made a meme that looked similar. The guy at the centre of all this didn't make the video that Trump tweeted.

It looks like CNN even got the identity of the meme poster wrong. Looks like the he/she meme post was from Mexico.

The the guy they talked to on the phone lied to CNN?

If that discussion ever really happened, which I do not entirely believe, then the guy may not have realised that it was someone else's work that the President had tweeted. The guy does appear to have made a similar meme.

I never once interpreted the video to advocate violence against CNN. I saw the video as a metaphor for how trump keeps making CNN look like his B!tch. It's like he can't lose.

I'm not speaking of you, but the ones that keep harping on that angle are incapable of abstract thought or are willingly being obtuse because it's CNN threatening a republican citizen.

What if Fox News threatened one of them. How would they feel then?

I will admit to being triggered but not by CNN. I am triggered by anyone that thinks they can get me to go along with living in 1984. This has nothing to do with left vs right. If Fox News had threatened you I would be just as triggered. If CNN thinks that antifa is a resistance wait til they get a load of my kind

Thanks for playing, first bite.

I was pointing out the hypocrisy that every time people laugh at Trump and mock him they are apparently "triggered" but when they have the same reaction to CNN... suddenly it doesn't apply.

So yes "triggered", a go-to word for under pressure Trump supporters, seems to change depending on whose said it.

Normally after someone corrects a Trump supporter or calls them out on a long post of BS that individual is "triggered" in order to save face for the Orange lover.

Thanks for not explaining what happened.

Everyone alludes to something, which I just woke up and have no idea about, yet no one actually bothers to give the A B and C about.

I think by reading context I picked up some of B and most of C - which makes this sound pretty bad for everyone's sake.

Am I right to assume everyone is entangled in gossip basically?

Is this the story:
1) Person X says racist stuff.
2) Trump uses a random meme originating with Person X's prolific post history.
3) CNN figures out Person X created the meme, calls Trump on it as if Trumps best buds and agrees with Person Xs entire post history.
4) Person X apologized.
5) CNN claims they can still reveal Person X if they choose but for now accepts apology and will not destroy them by merely revealing the truth.
6) Therefore CNN is the Nazi (despite that Person X actually has extremely racist comment history)
7) ATS posters focus full might against CNN and skillfully avoid discussing how Person X is responsible for their own post history
8) No one explains what Trump actually tweeted.

What no one sees here (except me?) is that most of you guys have the perfect skillset and demeanor to be CNN staff - except that you're R instead of D. Flip the roles and you'd fit right in.

I'm afraid yall have become the very monster you've been fighting. You're so caught up in the emotions of the war that you probably can't see it though.

Muzzle, I'm a big fan of most of your posts. I know you are smart enough to know that if CNN gets away with this Fox News will do this to liberals the first chance they get.
We can not allow the media to have this kind of authority over individual citizens.
So what if the meme maker had unpopular speech on his page. Unpopular speech is the only speech that needs protecting... and you know this.

So tell us what to do then?

When the uck did you become a Police Organization? Kathy Griffinholds up the Presidents severed bloody head but this is ugly behavior.

Kathy Griffin also publicly apologized, yet CNN still fired her. Are you saying they were wrong for doing that?

His speech isn't under threat of being supressed unlawfully though.

Even if they did out him he couldn't win a defamation lawsuit because they aren't lying.

He might have a privacy invasion claim if he never revealed himself in any of his posts. I'm not sure how CNN could figure him out though.

You gotta remember all the tabloids and stuff. The media destroys people everyday for profit and often gets away with it. Most of our society accepts that they pry into people's lives.

Outing this guy would be turning him into a new celebrity. But rather than fame it'd be infamy because he posts stuff completely anti PC that even he is terrified to be known for.

Have you seen what the tabloids and paparazzi have done over the last 30 or 40 years? Look at their work next time you're in the checkout lane.

Put all of this into proper context.

cnn is the new boggie man, they no longer have Obama or Hillary, so cnn is it.

it keeps the kids in Macedonia busy!

I literally had never turned cnn on in MY LIFE, until our president started whining about them ALL THE TIME. seems like they scare the hell out of him, it's odd, and I think exactly what putin wants. dictators HATE the press. now I tune in from time to time. lol

And they talk about Trump's tweets. Sheesh.

CNN is just one of those organizations that are power drunk. They think they run the country. Their problem with Trump is not ideological but a perceived business and control competition.

Yes right! Did everybody forget that CNN makes money from air time advertising. This is all cash cow disguised as some sort of bull crap ideological conflict live and televised with new sh*t hitting the fan weekly for our entertainment.
