Oregon has become the first state to allow residents who don’t identify as male or female to mark their gender as “not specified” on applications for learner’s driving permits, identity cards and driver’s licenses. The rule went into effect on Monday and drivers now have “the option to change the sex identifier on your driver license, driver permit or identification card to M, F or X for not-specified,” according to Oregon’s Driver and Motor Vehicle Services (DMV) website.

As adults, they have the freedom to do as they want.
As long as they don't force that and make it mandatory, then what harm are they doing?
Your right, they can, but its the fact a state body is recognising something that is not real!

Fiat money has been defined variously as: Any money declared by a government to be legal tender.[5] State-issued money which is neither convertible by law to any other thing, nor fixed in value in terms of any objective standard.[6] Intrinsically valueless money used as money because of government decree.[1] While gold- or silver-backed representative money entails the legal requirement that the bank of issue redeem it in fixed weights of gold or silver, fiat money's value is unrelated to the value of any physical quantity. A coin is fiat currency to the extent that its face value, value defined in law, is greater than its market value as metal.[3]

Just venting.
It's just so stupid.
To have an official government body recognize something that is not actually real. Is a bit odd.
What about when this silliness starts to infringe on court cases?
"I saw the man walking away from the store"
"But I'm not a man"
"Well, I saw what looked like a man walking away from the store"
"Wasn't me, I'm a woman, It even says so, I have legal papers"
"But you're a man"
"No i'm not"
etc etc etc
