I believe that, with the pre-authorization of President Trump, our Secretary of Defense (James Mattis) is calling the shots with North Korea. The complexity of this is WAY over President Trump's head, IMO.

There will need to be coordination amongst several countries, because Kim Jong will fire everything he's got when he realizes that an assault has begun.

Complexity? The military can handle complexity. The can explain it to him, like they explained to all the other Presidents. The President just makes the call whether to do it or not. The President doesn't plan the attacks. It is not over Trumps head. He has the counsel of Mad Dog.

Protocols are in place for that exact reason. He who fails to prepare, prepares to fail. Trump likes to win.

What you perceive as ego is what every leader needs to ensure that they are the one to make the calls on what happens. President Trump is the most powerful man in the world. A lot of the calls are for him to make.

It is happening under his administration, good or bad. If he likes it he will push for it, if not he will push against it. He has a right to state his opinion on the subject.
