That's how they saw it, that's how they felt about it, and that's what the press told them.

This is the one thing I can't get, why are the libs not mad at the press, why can't they see that it was the press that duped them?

Speaking as an old time "Tree Hugging Liberal Hippie" (yes I was , for many many years) the Liberals rely on someone else to produce thoughts and decisions for them. As they hate the US , they rely a good deal on the MSM . Who , in turn are only catering to them for ratings
Vicious cycle.

I agree. While I can't say I agree with every aspect of Trump's "dogma," I appreciate his Populism. He tells people just how screwed over they've been over the last, hell, at least 40 years, and if we're frank, last 50 or 60 years.

I'm tired of the same old # and it would seem that a number of other people from both the right and left are too. Albeit for different reasons, but nonetheless, at least there's unification in discontent.

It is precisely because he is Not the "usual Ruling Establishment puppet" that he is ill-equipped to perform in his position. He lacks the support of the so-called elite because, aside from being a billionaire (well, at least until we can confirm otherwise upon his release of his tax return!), he does not come from their tight circle; he's an outsider.

And yes, that's what many found appealing.

But being an outsider means that you are considered alien to both sides of the existing regime, with no native allies and many potential opponents.
...

Hey! The first time anyone in this site has attempted to respond to this question I keep begging (and dont get me wrong I'm so over politicians and the whole POTUS Machine I've proposed ways to jettison the entire office).

But wait, its almost as if you responded to a different question.

Can anyone break down for everyone how Trump is or would be any worse than any other as usual Ruling Establishment puppet, and do it without resorting to raw personal emotional impressions?

Not that it wasnt a fair warning per se, its just that him not (hopefully) not being an Ruling Establishment puppet surrounded by such doesnt equate to him being desperately worse than the typical Imperial Presidency villainy.

Sure, they could rub off on him a bunch.

And they can jam him up.

But he can jam them up too.

So more than it being some 'more terrible' than Bush's/Obama/Clinton's situation, I see more of a monkey wrech in the Establishment's gearbox scenario.

HoldMyBeer is a troll. He does it because it makes feel good.

He posts the thread. Then sits back and watches you all go at it. Those from the left agreeing and deflecting. The right defending and reflecting.

He then begins to laugh at all the little people bicker and banter. Watching everyone throwing their own crap all over the place.

I don't know about all of you but regardless of our president. This started before he won. Its really start to smell around here with all the crap. I wont lie I've thrown my share. Its time we stop and clean this # up.

As we can see. No one else will.

Wishful thinking.

And he nor blow really establish any sort of argument as to why anyone but a crank could say that Trump hijacked the office. Just a bunch of hysterical badmouthing. This thread should have been trashed?

You may be right.

After posting the drivel in the OP, he abandons the thread.

Or maybe he was devastated by a beer failure and unable to continue.

Trump is an abomination and a corrupt perversion of our democratic system.

Trump is the same man that campaigned for President that he is right now.
He is not a perversion of our democratic system, he is the essence of it.

Our system elected him.

What we need to do is look at why that happened.

Maybe look at the weaknesses of all of the candidates that ran against him.
That means all of the Republican candidates and the one Democrat.

Don't blame Putin, if he did anything, he showed us how flawed Hillary was.

I think that's very well put and shows a clear understanding of the situation which we Americans made for ourselves.

In the end, the two major candidates were both extremely flawed and the cult of personality won. Heck I know 3 people that voted for him just because he made them laugh. (Democracy at it's finest.) The third party candidate couldn't find Aleppo on a map. (Public education??)

We put a flawed candidate into one of the most powerful offices in the world...and he is certainly doing everything he can to show us the error in our ways, whilst eroding a very large amount of the persuasive power that this country used to have.

Because We, the people, let him get there.

What ?
Youre not from around these parts , er ya ?

I actually live just outside DC. And I'm probably one of the few people that can separate my emotions and beliefs from actual truth. So yeah, I'm from around here. I'm equal parts loathing of politics and loathing of blind followers.

Have a nice day.
