The first two extracts of the story in the link below. It's the tale of the activities of Cambridge Analytica a data analytics firm that played a role in both Trump and Brexit campaigns. *(1)

What would you think now if you realised this was an operation, perhaps even a game, and that you were being * (2) played, that every fabric of your life, your wishes, your biases and your phobias, your perhaps disadvantages...everything, was being used to manipulate you and your world, what if your realisation was not just in your mind, but was a reality?
Would it make you feel silly, inadequate or helpless or guilty?

*(1) how many times did people here correlate Brexit and the Trump campaign as so similar and an indication of say, a collective consciousness of a new way of dealing with things...that breath of 'fresh air' that could only make things better, the great wave of popularism that would speak for everybody, and blow away all the old style institutions known as our governments, or perhaps more so their way of doing things.

I think that what we are seeing is blowback.

Articles like the one you point to are the Elites trying to stay relevant and shift the blame.

It is just more of the "look over here!" attitude.

It helps to know which of the media are in whose pocket.

Research The Guardian and you will have your answer.

He called the company a central point in the right’s “propaganda machine”, a line I quoted in reference to its work for the Trump election campaign and the referendum Leave campaign. That led to the second article featuring Cambridge Analytica – as a central node in the alternative news and information network that I believed Robert Mercer and Steve Bannon, the key Trump aide who is now his chief strategist, were creating. I found evidence suggesting they were on a strategic mission to smash the mainstream media and replace it with one comprising alternative facts, fake history and rightwing propaganda.

Scary stuff, and I can hear echos of it all throughout ATS and right wing media. From people that want the media jailed for stories that are critical of Trump, to wanting to censor stories they don't agree with.

This may be the real conspiracy. An all out replacement of media with only government friendly content.

Rob Mercer, Steve Bannon, Facebook, shady companies that are part of the British defense industry and the American defense industry..

I think what we're seeing is a couple of the tentacles of something way larger, worldwide. An effort at true global control of information.

There have been three stories on here now atleast, about these kind of things going on in Europe. It's disheartening to see this. I still can't believe people are standing by and letting it continue without doing something.

These documents throw light on a significant and under-reported aspect of the Trump administration. Its former vice-president Steve Bannon now sits in the White House. It is also reported to be in discussions for “military and homeland security work”.

Democracy isn't perfect..

In fact all the old Greek and Roman philosophers attributed democracy to the fall of Athens..

They had a dictator in Pericles (I think Pericles..) who was winning the war in Sparta, but the the "Donald trumps " came in spouting whatever bs sounded good with out any consideration for what was actually best for the people of Athens..


And Athens agreed to some horribly orcastrated attack on Syria where literally the entire fighting force of Athens was killed to a man.

Sparta then ruled the anchient world till the failed to reproduce enough to still field a fighting force..

So no democracy is not always a good thing..

Just like monarchies are not always a good thing..

Just like societies ran by the merchant class (like America) are not alwats a good thing.

What I don't understand, is the over all anti-globalization movement as a whole.

I feel like we have evolved past that now.

We are all a singular species strapped to this rock hurling through space at an unimaginable speed.

Not to get off topic, but I feel like the discovery of intelligent life is the only thing that will fix us.

We need to forget about USA, China, Russia, UK, Europe, Africa, etc...

We need to recognize and identify as Earth.. as Humans.. instead of wasting time worrying about borders, religion, skin color, and way of life.

To tie this in to the OP.. the whole Need it and Trump movements were about separating us.. not just internally, but on a world scale.

We need to think bigger as species.

We need to forget about USA, China, Russia, UK, Europe, Africa, etc...

I can be an Australian and a World Citizen. You suggest we have to give up our Country and our heritage to achieve this. We Don't and for most of us, we won't!

We can't do it now, there are too many rivers left to cross.

We do not have to give up anything to continue to grow.

Globalists are not really telling you that you have to give up your Country and your heritage. The closest thing to a global government is the UN and they bend over backwards to have governments throughout the world protect languages and cultures. They are the biggest proponents of multiculturalism.

That might be a negative for people who believe that everyone in their country needs to be homogeneous, something that seems to be pretty popular at the moment, but that would contradict what you are asking for in your post. You can't have it both ways.

Actually, it is just a figure of speech that I like to use when I see contradiction.

Like I said, the UN, a very globalist institution, doesn't try to homogenize populations. On the contrary it is a proponent of multiculturalism, so the idea that globalists want to do away with heritage or cultures is not accurate. At least not globalists that are working in that direction.

I can see why some people might think that that is polarizing but that would only be the case if they didn't want to accept other people who also want to keep their heritage.

I accept that some cultural traits are not accepted, even by the UN, they did after all put down in writing the universal declaration of human rights, which established a line in the sand, but that doesn't seem to be what you are referring to.

Perhaps look at what is happening in Sweden right now to see the outcome that they want.

That will lead to the destruction of societies and this is the deliberate path that the people will have to push back hard ... and they will.

The UN is a front, the only real power is the Security Council and they were designed to be in constant deadlock.

Just have a look at what Saudi Arabia chairs at the UN. That is all you need to know to see the UN agenda in plain sight.

What is happening in sweden? Are you even there?

I can only talk about things close to me. My country, influenced by the UN, has 22 native languages recognized and we are told that multiculturalism is the way to go. I don't see the UN pushing for the suppression of cultures no matter how gridlocked the security council seems to be. That seemed to be the point of your original post. It just isn't there, no matter how hard you might want to argue that.

IMHO it goes much further than that, this is secret service plying their trade to the biggest payer/player with any means available and at our expense, that includes the possibility of hijacking forums such as ours.
