CNN in a snit over some stories about the Russia/Trump dilemma.

Apparently some "standards" have been questioned.

Result: 3 CNN people quit !!

Where's the "Dis-Info" now ?

Three CNN Employees Resign Over Retracted Story on Russia Ties

Three CNN employees have handed in their resignation over a retracted story linking President Trump to Russia, the network announced Monday.

Thomas Frank, who wrote the story in question; Eric Lichtblau, an editor in the unit; and Lex Haris, who oversaw the unit, have all left CNN.

“In the aftermath of the retraction of a story published on CNN.com, CNN has accepted the resignation of the employees involved in the story’s publication,” a network spokesperson said in a statement Monday.

"Sources" and "Sources"

On Thursday, CNN investigative reporter Thomas Frank published a report involving an investigation of a Russian investment fund with possible ties to several Trump associates.

According to CNN, an internal investigation found that “some standard editorial processes were not followed when the article was published.”

Citing a single unnamed source, the story reported that Congress was investigating a “Russian investment fund with ties to Trump officials.”

I wonder if the media outlets are going to be investigated for the source of the leaks they have presented as facts.

I guess is time to clean house.

Was just reading this on Drudge.
Seems like this should be the beginning of many more resignations for fake news reporting on CNN.

Forced resignation to attempt to save face for CNN is more likely.

Talk about discrediting...

So they are resigning because CNN retracted
their very fake news story?

Too funny! No big loss CNN can hardly be
trusted as a news source!

Were they asked to resign?

Either way, good riddance!

Slowly but surely.

Now if only we could get Rachel Maddow to resign over her nonsensical conspiracy BS.

WAPO for sure!

Don't need any talent, morals, ethics or even a shred of journalistic integrity to work there.

I.e., the story was fed them by a spook.

There is no way that a reporter would commit to a hugely-controversial national story with only one source telling him (or her) anything, unless that source was known and trusted and had a good record plus impeccable credentials.

What's more, this would have been scrutinised right up the editorial ladder and down again, and the reporter would have had to stand by it at every stage. It clearly passed inspection, hence the resignations of the higher-ups who didn't stop this fiasco.

Of this debacle, we will assuredly learn more in due course.

This looks like CNN got played as 'disposables' in a bigger strategy that they didn't understand. Moral: Ask not what the spooks are doing for your stories, ask what your stories are doing for the spooks.

Probably.

One of those "Resign now and we'll give you a good reference and you won't count as fired" deals.

Or "plausible deniability". If any investigation shows that CNN may have been involved in using the media to try and tilt the elections, they can now come out and say; "Those individuals have been terminated"

It seems weird to me that they now have this policy in place, but in the past they would push a story with only one "in-named source" dictating the narrative. Wonder why the change?

I hope they're disgruntled and leak information about the MSM's cooperation with foriegn and domestic intellegence. Maybe a cushy new job in exchange for some names?

I hear Alex Jones is hiring.

The Programming Directors are the puppeteers. The H.R. Staff performs the psychological assessments of potential hires. (Must be fanatically Democratic)

Both must be replaced with sane people.
