Go for it. Happy hunting and good luck.

TEOTWAWKIAIFF

Thanks for the recommendations. I've only read Fear and Loathing so far but I've read a lot about him. Interesting fellow indeed.

Cheers.

I bought some old Sega Megadrive/Genesis games a few years ago and found a porn dvd in the instruction manual.
I guess some kid was hiding it there and forgot about it.

The only thing I've found in used books.. even library books... is someone's dried up smeared snot 😕

It pisses me off when I see it in library books.. because if they spot it after returned they probably think it's you .

Anyhoo that's my unworthy contribution to this thread albeit an honest one.

Fear and Loathing calls to me to re-read it every five years. First few times just laughed and laughed. Now I see it as a generation shift and a missing out on a chance for real change.

I've read his letters to colleagues and friends. What a hoot! When you can write Charles Kuralt and start off, "what's up you drunk bastar#..." you know you've arrived!

Never found anything cool in a used book. I will purposefully leave book marks in a random book just to keep my anarchy edge.

I know who they are but I don't have any of their stuff (that I know of) they have been mercilessly sampled, probably in ways you wouldn't even recognise.

I see those and raise you Jeff Mills, Kevin Saunderson, Robert Hood, Richie Hawtin etc
Machine music digs into me but a lot of people just don't like it.

I'll think about it.

I hope you have a handkerchief, you know, just in case. Aaaaaaatchooo!

And remind me not to pinch any of your old books.
I'll make an exception if its a really good book....I've got a nice windscreen scraper somewhere.

Hey.. why blame me for someone else's mistakes. I didn't put the snot in the books.. and I've been kind enough to try and scrape it off with knife .. especially in library books due to the reason I mentioned before. People that do stuff like that do it on purpose. If it was an accident through sneezing any decent human would do their best to clean it off 😕

I can't be the only one who's found these gross gifts in used books or library books.
C'mon lets all be honest.😂

OK you can come out of your room now. And yes, I've seen them.
We only like finding cool things, though.

I hate to admit it but I once found an old snog rag in a book. I sprayed it with lysol a few times and it was good as new after that. But the book was good, hand gliding 101.

I've thought about it for some time but I really don't want it to be a "what's your favourite record" kind of thing.
Transfer from vinyl to CD could be an interesting topic.
The first Dark Side of the Moon CD I bought was AWFUL and i t nearly put me off CDs altogether but I got a remastered one and that did the trick.

The majority of CD stuff I buy now is techno stuff mixed by this or that DJ so it would bore people pretty quickly here.

Maybe, what about your most bizarre vinyl albums?
