We don't talk about that

While watching the travesty that was the Warriors game the other night a fan had to be escorted ny police off court. I dont know what the fan did, the networks purposely do not show or discuss it when a person interrupts a game like that. Likewise, there are hundreds of suicide jumpers from the golden gate bridge which is minutes away. Even on local news i never hear of a single instance. The networks dont talk about it. It is undesirable behavior that we do not want to promote. Why then are we so happy to publicize and discuss other undesirable behaviors like discrimination and attempted election tampering? Rhetorical, I know why. But are the rating worth it?

it's crap how producers pick and choose what is news worthy.
much in the same way that if you have certain characteristics, they can make you into a star.

to steer public opinion by producing only what they think is appropriate for viewers.

social engineering is done by pushing certain ideals off as good for the gander, while in reality, it's only good for one groups wallet.

Money keeps Earth's core in a liquid state, so to keep the planet rotating. /sarcasm

News is a business, just a platform to hang advertising on. To keep the advertisers happy you need to be in the ratings.

Capitalism. If you don't like the way news is presented then start your own station, channel and programming, just like Alex Jones, that started with nothing on public access cable channel and parlayed a call in show into a multi million dollar empire.
