I'm not sure you fully understand the legal ramifications of the things you are suggesting.
Do tell.
You never say you have tapes.
You get a subpoena for tapes because the media says you have them.
You say there are no tapes.
Please explain the punishments you envisage?
Perhaps humiliating the left is now a crime? If so, you may have found the one thing Trump is guilty of.
Trump is the one who keeps alluding to their existence. Not the media. The media didn't talk about any tapes until Trump brought them up. You keep forgetting that little fact, but I guess it is more important to you to smear the media than argue honestly.

those tapes MAY appear
you never know
I will know if they are subpoenaed won't I? Because then Trump will have to legally oblige or be held in contempt of court. Though I'm not particularly worried if they exist or not. I don't trust much of anything Trump says, so I've been taking his tape claims with a grain of salt anyways.
Lol, contempt of court for what? Not having tapes the media says he has?
Refusing to comply with a subpoena. If they just don't exist then he will just be greatly embarrassed by the media and the anti-Trumpers laughing at him for lying all those months.
Lol, he never said he had tapes. Check Mate.
Now you are starting to understand the fun in this.
No # sherlock. Got any other brain busters for me, Captain Obvious? The point of the subpoena would be to determine if they exist and if they do exist what they contain.

Trump most certainly bluffed, at the very least, that he had tapes of his and Comey's conversations. The River is down, Trump's bluff is being called. TIme for the cards to be laid out on the table.

Longshot possibility:
Comey fabricated the "Notes" and the whole thing is fiction.
And then lied under oath anyway.
Can anybody locate Comey's schedules for the days in question ?
Comey already lied under oath.
He said that AFTER Trump tweeted "Comey better hope there aren't tapes"...Comey then decided to leak the memo.
The memo went to the press BEFORE the tweet.

False. He didn't lie you just didn't count.
The memo was leaked on may 15. Trumps tweet was on May 12.

In his testimony on Thursday, Mr. Comey said the memo whose contents he had a friend leak was not classified and therefore not inappropriate to make public. Mr. Trump’s lawyers argue that it was subject to executive privilege, although the president has never asserted privilege over his conversations with Mr. Comey and independent legal experts have expressed doubt that he could. Mr. Comey arranged the leak on May 15, after he was fired and after the May 3 hearing, so it would not be in direct conflict with that testimony.

Mr. Comey described details of his refusal to pledge his loyalty to Mr. Trump to several people close to him on the condition that they not discuss it publicly while he was F.B.I. director. But now that Mr. Comey has been fired, they felt free to discuss it on the condition of anonymity.

The information that Trump had asked for loyalty was already known to people right after it happened. Several of his colleague's knew.
His memo was released on may 15th.

By Mr. Comey’s account, his answer to Mr. Trump’s initial question apparently did not satisfy the president, the associates said. Later in the dinner, Mr. Trump again said to Mr. Comey that he needed his loyalty. Mr. Comey again replied that he would give him “honesty” and did not pledge his loyalty, according to the account of the conversation. But Mr. Trump pressed him on whether it would be “honest loyalty.” “You will have that,” Mr. Comey told his associates he responded.

he was leaking the content of the memo's prior to Trump tweeting.
Get it strait.
He told the people he was working with about their meeting. Which is expected and responsible thing to do in such a situation.
