At the dawn of time, when the world was devoid of humanity, a great miracle once happened. By the forces of nature, the precise amounts of ingredients mixed together into a big cocktail, perfectly blended...and the first human baby was born on Earth. It was a girl.

She had no name, but I like the name "Emma", so that's what I'll call her. Emma's parents were not like her. They did not recognize her, and Emma was abandoned to face the elements alone.

Emma had two things going for her, given her very dire circumstances. The first being nature. Nature always came along and provided suitable protection for her, and all the necessities to survive. Although, Emma had no experience with nature, which is why her second blessing is so important.

Emma was blessed with a quality that we today would describe as 'schizophrenia'. You see, she heard something like a voice in her head constantly, but it wasn't in a describable language.

She was given instruction, quite literally from day one by this voice. It was still and small, however, and non-intrusive. She did everything it told her, save the time when she ate a batch of bad mushrooms. Lesson learned!

Emma was an adveturer, and by the time she was 13, she had traveled long distances. She braved the cold, and endured the deserts in the hot months. She trekked through the frontiers always respecting nature, knowing what to stay away from and what to trust.

Until, one evening while gathering food and water beside an abundant brook in the spring time, she spotted something unusual. She glared at it, curiously while standing firm and confident. It stared back at her with the same level of curiosity and confidence. It appeared to be very similar to her. It was like her, but a bit larger. It had added "parts" in some areas and lacked parts in others.

Emma found herself curiously attracted to it. Due to certain reasons that I will not describe here, she knew immediately that it was oddly attracted to her as well.

She had stumbled across the only human male on Earth..

Miracles happen.

The end.

Hey Wookiep!

That was different, I wasn't sure what to expect.
I loved how Nature provided for Emma (I like that name too).

I'm left wondering if the human male that she encountered was 'born' the same way...?
It's a good story if I have questions, lol.

Unique and interesting...easy to read! (A twist on the Adam & Eve story? See, more questions!!)

Thanks for your feedback Jacy! The human male was the other half of 'the great miracle", 2 miracles together to make one great one. You got it!

A bit cliche', I know. Definitely inspired by the classic Adam and Eve story.

Thanks lucksky! I hope you get your writer status soon, dunno what's up with that. I'd really like to read your story. Maybe you can submit it anyway with 'pending' as your status?

Haha, thanks, maybe if there is a 'CRE2018' (or beyond) contest, we will explore his perspective of things.
