Can we forget about the things I said When I was drunk
Didn't mean to call you that
I can't remember what was said and what you threw at me
Please tell me
Please tell me why
The car is in the front yard and I'm
Sleeping with my clothes on
Came in through the window last night
And you're gone gone
It's no surprise to me I am my own worst enemy
Cause every now and then I kick the living *snip* out of me

Alert Democrats may have noticed over the past few months a subtle shift in their opponents. A shift away from the standard right wing emotional malaise filled doom and gloom, moving now towards a more hopeful and optimistic tone all centered around the shenanigans of the left. A few ATS members (myself included) have even gone so far as to point out that we believe the Democrats are digging their own graves purely based on their defense of and even support of actions and groups that the average American is repulsed by. Some examples:

www.nytimes.com...

We should thank the student protestors, the activists in Black Lives Matter and other “overly sensitive” souls for keeping watch over the soul of our republic.

www.theblaze.com...

Hillary Clinton came out of semi-hiding Friday to record a video encouraging Democrats engaged in protests, marches and heckling at GOP town halls that they represent the Democrat party “at its best.”

The ad, posted on the official Democratic Party YouTube account, is a thank you letter of sorts.

www.zerohedge.com...

BRZEZINSKI: "Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job."

www.washingtonexaminer.com...

Hillary Clinton said Wednesday that her loss to Donald Trump might suggest that Democrats have to start learning how to twist the truth if they're going to start winning elections.

www.theblaze.com...

According to a CBS poll, a majority of Democrats have said that they believe that the religion of Islam is dangerous, but that other religions are just as bad.

66 percent of Democrats believe when it comes to other religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Mormonism, et al, they are responsible for just as much violence as Islam. Only 14 percent believe Islam is more violent, which totals out to one out of seven Democrats.

www.usnews.com...

Sixty-seven percent of Democrats are "extremely" or "very" proud to be Americans – down from 78 percent a year ago.
In contrast, 92 percent of Republicans and 73 percent of independents are as likely now as in 2016 to be proud of their country, the survey found.

townhall.com...

Back in April, a group of mostly Democratic (there was one independent) attorneys general announced they were going to be targeting any companies that denied climate change. Thus, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Democratic Party has adopted this far left tactic in the final draft of their official platform.

nymag.com...
No quote here... the entire article is staggeringly self righteous and out of touch. I highly recommend reading it.

I could continue, but the list is long enough. If you're looking for more, just check out the knee-jerking "it isn't that bad" responses to Kathy Griffin beheading Trump, the open advocacy of open borders to anyone hailing from the third world, regardless their intention of going on the tax payer dole or bringing their dangerous religious views into America, the ridiculous "all must accommodate the few" positions on issues like transsexuals, and the rabid hatred directed towards anyone who dares voice a differing viewpoint.

All of those public sentiments have lead us here, a point many "warned" that America was going to get to, and now we will see the first test of that theory:
thehill.com...

A GOP super PAC is seeking to link Georgia Democratic House candidate Jon Ossoff to comedian Kathy Griffin, who tweeted her support for him over the weekend.

Watch the momentum on this one closely because it will likely be the advertising campaign of every GOP candidate in 2018. We will not see campaign ads that simply state the GOP candidate's position, no. We will see ads that feature clips of liberal figures, politicians, news casters, pundits, and entertainers making statements repulsive to centrist and independent voters, we will see clips and statements from them defending and supporting actions of groups that are repulsive to centrist and independent voters, and we will see them making statements which insult the intelligence of centrist and independent voters. These ads will work outside of self loathing liberal strongholds like California and New York. These ads will result in something which is unthinkable to the average Democrat: a public rebuke from the very people who once made up the core of their mainstream party.

"OMG, you're saying the voters will roast all the Dems over the ass headed comments and actions of the few! How can you suggest this?" some may say. Easy, look at the United States of America. Look at the fact that over half of America supports the moratorium on allowing people into the nation from majority Islamic countries www.slate.com... Here's a new shine nobody would have expected me to say: We know the terrorists represent a small fraction of the overall Muslim world. We get that fact, BUT WE DON'T CARE. You reach a point where a single rotten apple spoils the entire bushel. Over half of America has reached that point with issues like Islam, do you really really believe we won't reach that same point concerning the supercilious political diarrhea emanating from the minority of liberal loudmouths?

So continue to not quite fully detach your political identity from the world's Hillary Clintons, Kathy Griffins, Maxine Waters, Rachael Maddows, SJWs, angst riddled entitled college youths, and other self righteous liberal warriors. Keep saying "that was wrong of them" out of one side of your mouths while saying "but at least they didn't..." out of the other side. Keep on keeping on... just don't pretend to be shocked when the bread and butter of American voters flee from your party's candidates in droves for many years to come.

Both sides say the same thing.

Parts of either side will step over the line and then the moderates will pull away.

In the end it doesn't really matter, the agenda is centrist.

One word: Partisan.

Everyone knows right from wrong, but it seems the partisan is too much and too strong for even some of the brightest minds. Partisan is so powerful, a lot of people don't even realize it's controlling them and their thoughts.

If everyone would drop their partisan, seperate themselves from the extremes, remove themselves from the groupthink mind-hive and think as an individual, we would all be standing together somewhere around the middle.

The above is fact.

But of course, the power of partisan will be in full effect for us to witness yet again in this thread.

both sides suck right now.
quite possibly always have

they(whoever they are) just want to keep us divided and it is working

someone on the right posts and image and people on the right flip(people on the left too but it seems not as much)
people on the left and right argue
political party of the rights inserts image into their ad
people on left and right fight some more

i admit i get sucked into all this #. i am amused by a lot of it.
to a degree i enjoy the tit for tat back and forth

im starting to tire of it though

all of this is about division.
there are people on the left and right that are hungry
people on the left and right that are homeless
people on the left and right without healthcare

there are real issues going on out there

i dont know man.

not even sure what i am trying to say

its all convfefe

I have been liberal/ Democrat leaning my entire life because I believe they were the party of the working class and of freedom, boy were my illusions strong.

Now after years of research and watching the whiney excuse driven cry baby entitled behavior of the Democratic party and voting Republican every year until the Democrats are or gone or we have a strong Libertarian candidate.

I agree. We need to be about the principles that our idealism represent. We need to know what those principles are and stick by them even when it hurts us.

I'm lucky enough not to be smart enough to delve into what "good republicans" are supposed to believe, I only know what I believe and adjust my thinking accordingly as new or better information becomes available. And while there has always been a divide between right and left, this election cycle has polarized so many to take hard line stances on topics that just don't make sense.

I think there needs to be balance in the political spectrum, if hard line right wingers got what they wanted, things would suck, it hard line left wingers got what they wanted, things would blow the # up and disappear. (showing my bias) But at some point, the two sides need to drop the aggressive tude and find a way to work together for the UNITED STATES. If you think it's not cool to be patriotic, then I say this with all due respect to you, get the # out of the country. I feel I have the right to say that. The US is bigger than the president of today, of the presidents of yesterday. I have a friend and customer who uses the term "find a way to make it happen". I like that. I wish more would think that way when it comes to this topic.

as always, have a super day.

Here, I'll give you another post.

If you're looking for more, just check out the knee-jerking "it isn't that bad" responses to Kathy Griffin beheading Trump

the open advocacy of open borders to anyone hailing from the third world, regardless their intention of going on the tax payer dole or bringing their dangerous religious views into America

A complete mistatement of the majority of the opinions from the Left on immigration. You're just full of straw men aren't you?

the ridiculous "all must accommodate the few" positions on issues like transsexuals,

Uh, civil liberties exist to protect the individual. You do value the individual don't you?

and the rabid hatred directed towards anyone who dares voice a differing viewpoint.

Ironic considering this is wingnut thread #10 of the day bashing people who voice a differing viewpoint.

Watch the momentum on this one closely because it will likely be the advertising campaign of every GOP candidate in 2018. We will not see campaign ads that simply state the GOP candidate's position, no.

I can guarantee that will be the case. Have you never seen political ad in your life? They're already exactly what you "predict." Lmao.

These ads will work outside of self loathing liberal strongholds like California and New York.

Clearly it will work for you as evidence by your absurd repetition of "self loathing liberal" — Jesus, the groupthink is strong with you.

We know the terrorists represent a small fraction of the overall Muslim world.

Newsflash! Nobody ever accused you of caring or being reasonable. Over half of America has reached what point? More of your identity politics programming leading you to believe you're part of a "silent majority?" You're a regular meme repeating machine. Few people managed to regurgitate so much of their programming in such a densely packed diatribe. Well done?

So continue to not quite fully detach your political identity from the world's Hillary Clintons, Kathy Griffins, Maxine Waters, Rachael Maddows, SJWs,

Good grief, you've even managed to name drop all the targets you've been programmed to name.

Keep on keeping on... just don't pretend to be shocked when the bread and butter of American voters flee from your party's candidates in droves for many years to come.

Everytime you idiots win an election, we have to listen to months of this self-righteous crap. It always indicates some massive sea change to you. Yet, society still progresses despite the best efforts of you and your ideological kin stretching back through the generations:

Slavery ended.
Women got the vote.
Porn can be sent through the mail (OMG!).
Leftist can voice their opinions without fear of being locked up for sedition.
It's no longer legal nor socially acceptable to discriminate against Catholics, Jews, etc.
Segregation ended.
Same sex couples can get married.

How is it that you dummies always think you're on the right side of history?

Well Plan A was to use a s# song from a one hit wonder but alas, OP beat me to it. In all seriousness, why is it that you think this is something to say?

Do you believe the OP is actually winning over any converts? Perhaps you should direct that comment to the OP if you're really concerned with the ineffectual nature of closing political chasms with insults.

As far as I can tell, he's no better than I am.
