GUIDANCE NEEDED. I look at the tables of projections in the Budget at your link: assets.documentcloud.org... , but can't find where MEDICARE expenditure is being decreased.
Can someone point me to the correct table in that White House budget document please? Thanks in advance.

psssst...
it might not really be there
all hush hush
Just because the doctors and hospital staff are paid does not make it a for profit system. There are many nations that have socialized health care and it works just fine. You pay more in taxes of course, but no one is left behind.
The contention was that for-profit healthcare couldn't work. I was simply pointing out the idiocy of such a statement.

Actually, I think the best solution is to come up with a cutoff age (say 40 as of this year, which would exclude myeslf from coverage!) and everyone keeps paying in until the program is phased out. If you're under 40 now you're on your own for coverage. But then we need to rename the tax so moron leftists don't try to do the same thing again. We can call it the failed socialist program tax.

Which cuts are cuts, and which cuts are decreasing the rate of increase of a particular program. So many ways to spin budget items.
Take Obama's first budget for example. Fangs were out over it, just like they are now over Trump's 2018 proposals.
www.politifact.com...
Cuts to the departments I listed are cuts based on previous spend. Why are you making this about Obama? The only thing that has received any cut according to the OP is medicare. That is incorrect.
You are correct. Medicare Disability was cut (big thread on that last week) and so are many other programs.
No matter who the President is, the losing party complains. That's why I referenced Obama's budget. Republicans hated it. AS EXPECTED, the reverse is true today.
Even though Trump's tax cuts are GOOD for everyone, Liberals will most likely not accept them. Not my President = Not my Tax Cuts. I wonder if the IRS can carve-out liberals to keep them at the same tax rate where we are today?
