Libya borders Egypt. After Gaddafi was killed in 2011, Islamic State set up shop in eastern Libya near Egypt. Egyptian air force deploys Rafale and F-16 to strike Islamic State in Libya. Though there were rumors this has happened before, this is the first time Egypt has acknowledged striking IS in Libya.

Looks like they flew from Marsa Alam , if the takeoff footage was from this incident. First pictures are definitly from Marsa Alam. I don´t know if this is of interest but since I identified them quickly, I thought I throw this in.

Edit: The other airport is not cairo, my mistake.

Maybe Trump's little motivational speech in Saudi Arabia worked.

Either way, go Egypt.

Qaddafi tried to warn us. In the transcripts between him and Tony Blair right before we started bombing Libya, Qaddafi said that the "rebels" were Al Qaeda affiliates and other terrorists. The transcripts of the calls are in the ATS thread for January of last year (HERE).

I remember that. They needed Libya taking down so they could create ISIS and then disrupt Syria. ISIS would never have got started without Qadaffi being taken out. And of course the Gold Dinar was another massive motive.

Isis got it start in Iraq. And this also caused Syria to have problems. The key was and all ways has been Iraq. Iran needed to destabilize Iraq they supported ISIS and Iraq was not strong enough to stop them

Yes, ISIS started in Iraq but the end game was destabilizing Syria. Iraq already had it's puppet government in place.

Iraq was just a launch pad for ISIS and I'm pretty sure Iran has f#ck all to do with ISIS.

Why would Iran support their mortal enemy? How ridiculous. Iran is one of the strongest opponents of the Islamic State.

Iraq has been Iranian aligned since 2006, and far more overtly so since 2011.

Saudi Arabia are the ones who want the Iraqi and Syrian governments overthrown so they can install a Pro-Saudi theocracy. They tried the exact same thing in 2012 with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
