Face palm. Watch the video moron.

gosh someone sure seems grouchy maybe you should have put this in the mudpit if you're gonna start name calling. Calling someone a moron might not be the best way to get them to watch your video

You know, I forgot about how the Republicans actually were trying to help the blacks in the past. Even now, a lot of Republicans are way more for black equal rights than Democrats. But the Democrats do seem to try to tell the minorities they are for them, look at California, they want immigrants. They want them to work in the fields and on the farms and to serve their white people in California by mowing their lawns and cleaning their homes. The pay for these jobs may sound good, but the cost of living is so high that these people are still making less than the white people and working way harder than the whites there. So there being a lot of Democrats in California seems to fit the narrative of this thread.

Making sure blacks have housing and welfare is not helping them nearly as much as getting them out of their rut and working at regular jobs, even factory jobs are good jobs. I think the Republicans have always been better for the working class.

Responding to a thread without digesting the content is a great way to get called a moron.

Are there not more civil ways to respond to someone's content ignorance? In my experience calling someone a moron generally doesn't go very well if you want to get a point across but it's your thread do what thoust will.

Dragging up the past again, trying to put Republican's in a glowing light.

Anyone who's been on ATS for any length of time has debated the history of the Dems and Reps.

We all know the evolvement and switch in positions.

The parties never switched...

Really? Remind me, where are the Dixiecrats again? Which party do they now belong to?

"Triggered"

Say what? What's your point? If you post something insanely stupid you can expect to get called on it. Your original statement is not credible. It just shows your ignorance. And the fact that you express it in such a supercilious manner makes it laughable.

Yes, let me help you...

Of the 19 dixiecrats, only 3 "switched" to Republican. The rest stayed Democrat...

Dixiecrat list:

Orval Fabus
Benjamin Travis Laney
John Stennis
James Eastland
Allen Ellender
Russell Long
John Sparkman
John McClellan
Richard Russell
Herman Talmadge
George Wallace
Lester Maddox
John Rarick
Robert Byrd
Al Gore, Sr.
Bull Connor
Strom Thurmon
Jesse Helms
Mills Godwin

Some of those names might look familiar... like Robert Byrd. You know Hillary Clinton's mentor and actual Klan member, DEMOCRAT speaker of the house. He served until 2010 mind you.

Oh Gee, Al Gore, Sr. Yep. Father of Al Gore, Jr. You know Vice President under Bill Clinton, creator of the internet, and global warming charlatan.

There was no switch of parties. Do you really believe that despite only 3 of the prominent dixiecrats formally changing parties, some how all the racist white folks in the country decided to just jump ship to Republican? That is about as likely as if the vast majority of the black community started voting Republican but all of the so-called black leadership remained Democrat.
