So I'm looking on my Facebook wall and I see this advertisement for McDonald's South Carolina Stack burger for people in the United Kingdom......

Boy, y'all got it wrong bless yer hearts!

Here's the short video:

As the couple are completing their purchase, they think about going to McDonalds to eat and get the South Carolina Stack burger. As the woman is describing it, her appearance keeps changing, until both her and the guy end up looking like this:

I almost fell out of my chair laughing because they got everything wrong.

Sorry folks, but here in South Carolina, we don't go around looking like cowboys. That's a Texas / South WEST US thing. We don't have cowboys here in the South Eastern US.

Next up: Dolly Hair (patterned after country music singer Dolly Parton).

Nope. Wrong again. Dolly is from Tennessee.....not South Carolina.

Looks like the only thing they got right was the store clerk coming back wearing a football jersey to look like the South Carolina Panthers jersey.

If they'd done their research, they'd of had people looking like this:

Or this:

Then had them drive away in something like this:

THEN they would have got a bit closer to South Carolina.

Take it from me, a redneck from South Carolina...

I saw what you did there.

I can just imagine if they tried to stereotype Canadians...I can see all the igloos and dogsled pictures already.

That or like lumberjacks.....with every third word being "eh?"

We all know that's wrong! Everyone knows that instead you make Canadians say the words "about" (aboat) and "got" (goat) a lot!

What do they know.
She looked more like Dolly Parton to me and she's Tennessee.

What a joke, even American football players.

What do they call the quarter pounder with cheese in the EU? Or is it UK, since they use the Pound instead of the Euro Dollar?

Of course they got it wrong. That's the whole point of using stereotypes

And you Americans are just as bad! I've seen the ads depicting Brits drinking tea, eating scones and saying "toodle pip".

I thought the ad was funny though BECAUSE they got it so wrong.

Huh.
The pictures you posted for S.C look strangely like Michiganders.

And do you have any American commercials with British stereotypes that can be used for comparison purposes? Just to see if the Yanks do it any better?

I thought it was Royale with Cheese? Or how about Brexit with Cheese.

Do they put mayonnaise on their french fries too?

A royale would be chicken

Some do, some don't. I prefer BBQ sauce.

In case you're wondering, yes, I worked fast food when I was younger. For both McDonald and Burger King. BK is still the best out of the 2

That you guys are exceedingly smart, and nothing goes unnoticed.......

Well.....except for those two guys......

You got it right with the first pic.

First thing I do, after jumping out of bed, is get my chambermaid to dress me in my 3 piece suit and top hat. Then I go downstairs for breakfast at a 2 mile long table with the wife at the other end.

No dissing Shaun of the dead. It's one of the best documentaries we have.

Royale with Cheese is what they call a Quarter Pounder in Continental Europe if I recall correctly but it may have been a Big Mac.

Anyhow. Yes, a Royale in the UK is a Chicken Royale.
