I just read this (New Zealand's NZ Herald, Thursday May 25, 2017) and viewed the clip, which US intelligence agencies discovered last week. It was made before the tragic attack in Manchester. ISIS very well might be intentionally misdirecting authorities, by threatening a specific city. The fact is, there are just too many soft targets in the United States...Theaters, Libraries, Malls, Subways, etc. They're playing with the general public's paranoia and fear of another terrorist attack. Stay strong and live your lives people. Don't live in fear! Stay vigilant and be aware of your surroundings AT ALL TIMES. Don't hesitate to call 911 if you notice someone or something suspicious. Unfortunately, we need to do this to protect ourselves and others, especially our family and friends, from being a victim of random violence, or another terrorist attack. It's unfortunate that innocent civilians have to pay the ultimate price because of POOR DECISIONS made by their governments.

Las Vegas has emerged as a new potential terror target following the release of an Islamic State propaganda video. The video calls for lone wolf attacks along the famous Strip as well as advocating vehicle attacks.

"Las Vegas has kind of been a terrorism target for a long time," Dave Shepherd, a retired FBI agent, told Las Vegas Now. "It's a matter of passing information, understanding exactly what's going on in the city, what's good, what's bad, and that's a daily occurrence."

Pig masks might be a true deterrent!

Not that I own any.

Breaking News: "Terrorists" can attack anywhere at any time, be scared. More at 7.

Over and over these intel threats have proven to be false. What can you do other than just live your life until it happens?

Good because I wouldn't have seen you wearing it last week when I was not there at the Tropicana.

This is troubling. Having been to Vegas a few times, there are so many people down Freemont Street but from the last time I was there I can't imagine how you could get a car into it. As I recall (maybe I am mistaken) there's a lot of barriers down this walk as it is a more enclosed experience. This still worries me because there are so many 'soft targets' there, yet I also wonder about the practicality of pulling off a full scale event because I am still fairly certain there's many people there that would make people sleep with the fishes. Makes me wonder if old ties mafia got in at it with ISIS. Also As for strange things in Vegas, in one block I was offered several call girls, types of drugs, and a few more call girls (they advertise them on cards about the size of a trading card) which get shoved into your hands as you walk down the main strip.

We also need to protect our selves from the surveillance state that this # is bringing ever closer to being realized.
I'd rather live in a world of absolute chaos than one were my every move is monitored for the sake of safety. A lot of ats ( not saying you are one) members seem to be pushing the idea of more cops , more guards, more cameras. That scares me more than being blown up.

doesn`t the mafia basically own las vegas? isis might be making a mistake by taking on the mafia, the mafia doesn`t play by the same rules that governments and militaries have to play by.
isis may have meet their match if they take on the mafia.

Not really. Its all huge corporate casinos. Many bought and sold several times over. Many casinos that were on the strip during the Mob days have been torn down to build new ones.

Vegas lost its mob identity long ago.

All that said, Vegas is an easy target. I lived in Vegas for 13 years. Never again, too hot, too many roaches everywhere, and WAY too many people. Those people like to clump up in many areas of the city. A terrorist can do a lot of damage just about anywhere in Las Vegas.

I've always wondered..

If the aim of these terrorist groups is to bring down the great satan USA..

why arent they hitting Wall St?
why arent they hitting nuclear power plants?
why arent they hitting DAMS, Electricity companies, Ports?

why are the US able to put sanctions on various companies around the world yet cant cut off the 100's of millions in funding going to these groups?

These are the real questions we should be asking right here.

Because those are hardened targets for the most part. Terrorism is about causing fear and destabilization through violence.

Why don't they attack Washington DC instead of Las Vegas? I do not understand ISIS. They want to attack us common people instead of the people running things.

Maybe our government is giving them money so they don't attack DC or something.

That is a great question, if a DNC employee (seth rich) can be gunned downed in a "botched robbery" with no witnesses surely the terrorists could manage to do some serious damage in D.C.

if a couple of street thugs who botched a simple robbery at 4 A.M. and got away with murder can do that then a well financed and organized group like isis should be able to pull off some kind of attack in D.C.

I am thinking that our government might be paying off ISIS so they don't attack DC. Sort of like paying a ransom

Everyone else gets to start Rumors, I should be able to.

Potentially two of the best food cities on the planet.

I appreciate you not clogging up the reservations for me though.

No vehicles are allowed near the Exchange and it no longer takes visitors. Plus it isn't the crazy free for all on the floor as it was a couple decades ago, it has about 1/4 of the people.

Every last facet of Las Vegas is shifty. There's a reason they call it "Sin City."
