What are you upset about and cannot accept ?

Maybe talking about it will help alleviate some of your pain

Yeah he's got stones all right. To show how retarded he truly is. That takes balls.

I can go one better

We decide the fate of terrorists and their families the same way we determine the fate of the economy in South Park

With a headless chicken and a wheel of fortune

It's so crazy, people will love it

Has it already been mentioned that Trump suggested this during the election? How can you condemn the OP but support the POTUS?

Don't misunderstand me, they're both wrong, but let's don't cherry pick based on familiarity/popularity.
At least be intellectually honest ATS.

I don't think any of us agreed with Trump either.

This isn't about popularity.

It's about a stupid idea.

You should be very glad there is not some law punishing the families of people who come up with ridiculously stupid ideas. Very, very glad.

Interesting question.

The guy behind the Westminster attack.

His parents are Christian, had nothing to do with their sons crime and they have denounced the attacks.

So OP, should the state murder these people because of their sons crime.

Also joe coxs murderer, he was a nationalist terrorist... kill his family??

No need to KILL...merely punish. Life in prison. Doesn't matter WHO they are. Deterrence is the goal. PERIOD.

I don't agree with the OP at all, but I do agree we need to take extreme measures when dealing with extreme problems.

IMO, one of the main reasons this still persists is the soft approach that we take.

When fighting monsters, you have to become a monster.

Innocents will probably have to die, becuause they will die regardless if you want them to or not.

When it comes to protecting your home, you can't be afraid to offend somebody.

Do you think they care about you as much as you claim to care about them?

It's a dog eat dog world, and when push comes to shove and your life depends on it, none of you would even sacrifice yourself for your own neighbor.

But it's easy to sympathize from the safety of your own home for people you don't even know, but I bet your tone would change the instant # hits the fan in your own home.

Ahhh right so even though they broke now law now you just want them to spend their lives in jail. You want to take their freedom now not their lives

I don't mind being "condemned". It means that my idea has merit, since ideas from the "careful compassionate thinking crowd" are not working.
edit on 5/23/2017 by carewemust because: typo.

So you've gone from one stupid idea to another now...

Life in prison? For a crime you didn't commit?

Log off man, you need some fresh air.

So, you are willing to capriciously exchange the freedom of others for your own security? Are you American? I hope not.

The point here is stopping terrorism. Killing innocent people isn't the right solution.

Stop giving me so much authority over your life! Just hit the "ignore this member" button, if there is one.

I think this would apply to innocent family members.

The USA kills innocent people all the time, in our efforts to goals and objectives against terrorists.

I think a better strategy would be the immediate rounding up and interment of all Muslims. Just as the Japanese endured in WW2. The muslims are our enemies, it's time to stop pretending if we close our eyes hard enough, or think enough feel-good thoughts that they will just go away.

Until the delusional left realize this we fall further into a trap.

I'm not saying we should kill the family members, that's insane. But we DO need to take a way more serious approach and stop being so PC for the sake of not offending anyone. Imo that's even more insane! How can other people's feelings be more important than the safety of your own home?
