Twitter, despite being President Trump's favorite medium, is in fact trash. It's loaded with all sorts of filth. Everything from bestiality to terrorism. It's the terrorist aspect I have an issue with. Not that bestiality is OK, but that's a different thread entirely. I'm on my phone so I'll do my best to not make this a wall of text(I hate those threads). Also if my link didn't embed right, I apologize.

My problem with Twitter allowing Jihadist supporters to have a platform to spew their hatred should be self evident after last night's tragedy in Manchester. I, like many of my fellow ATSers watched and listened as events unfolded. I was one of the first to call it for what it was. It just seemed obvious to me at the time and as the investigation has shown, I was unfortunately right.

I am an American, as such I firmly believe in the freedom of speech. Unless you're speech is calling for the heartless murder of innocent men, women and children. Twitter allows these Islamic nutjobs to spread their word to the world. Personally, if your profile picture is you in front of the Daesh flag holding a Kalashnikov, I think you're a terrorist. So why does Twitter allow these people to be able to post their sick messages? Can't their algorithms detect possible terror related communications. And if they can, why aren't they sharing these profiles with the security services? Terror has no place in this world or on the internet. These Jihadi scum should have their profiles flagged and reported. We aren't doing enough to wipe this element from this planet. Until sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram start taking actions these Muslim extremists will have a soapbox to spout from. The UK has laws about hate speech in place, it's time the Internet joined the real world in stamping out these people. Rant over.

There are millions of nutjobs. For something like Twitter there's no way to police it. If it doesn't work for you, then you should stop using it.

The point is, I'm saying that Twitter needs to not allow this. They don't allow child pornography. They regularly search and remove that. Why not this? Is this not a threat? This is just as bad as Anjem Choudry spewing hate on a street corner.

I agree, if FB can remove posts and delete accounts, Twitter can accommodate the same measures.
I know it takes FB a few hours at times to remove undesired content, but with the amount of loot they pull in, surely they could improve on this by hiring more staff specifically for this reason. I highly doubt twitter is hurting for cash, so they could obviously take on this same role.

If facebook can do it, why can't twitter?

I've always hated twitter. Not necessarily for terrorists using it, that doesn't help, but mostly because I see it as a stupid form of social media. Facebook is bad enough, but I use it. I REFUSE to make a twitter account though. If you have anything worthwhile to say, 140 characters isn't enough to say it in. I don't want 'followers', I'd rather not have people knowing what I ate for lunch, and my business and daily activities doesn't need to be consistently posted online for all to see and approve or disapprove of.

The while thing is a formula for narcisism and depression.

Certainly, all of the global intelligence agencies are monitoring FB and Twitter. If what you propose happened all of these security agencies would loose a valuable source of information. Shutting down terrorist FB and Twitter access could possibly severely hamper surveillance.

you're getting mad over something you wanted to look for (negativity)?

Not really.

One could argue the American flag is a hate symbol that symbolizes the colonization and capitalized racism that is the worst threat on planet earth and anyone showing american nationalism should be banned from Twitter

Same with any organization.

I would rather have these fools displayed for all to see and interact with personally...much easier for authorities to keep tabs on them and find out their network of idiots.
