A jolly article here about how many people in government positions "contributed" to the Candidates for President last year.

If real, this could be an indication of why Trump has some difficulty with policies.

But I think Trump knows all this and his people know how to stay ahead of the game most of the time.

The "Deep State" is instilled deep in government.

Graphs and Charts included.....

95% of Fed Gov Employees who gave gave to Clinton, Department of Justice 97%, State Department 99% (This is the deep state and they are comfy – right now)

This is a very important insight. The establishment fears Trump and they are willing to do whatever necessary to protect the bureaucracy.

The federal employees KNOW they have a good thing going. They basically can’t be fired. They are paid on average more than the private sector for doing less “work.” They have ridiculous retirement benefits for life. (People outside of Washington DC metro have NO IDEA how sweet.) And they are deathly afraid that Trump is going to bring reality into their protected and TAXPAYER FUNDED world. That’s the crux of the current Trump derangement.

It’s not that Trump isn’t PC enough. It’s not that he’s in cahoots with Russia. The state, deep and otherwise, fears that it will soon have to face reality. That it will have to be accountable. That in many cases they will have to WORK at all. (You think I’m kidding. There are many well paid federal bureaucrats who do nothing, or at least nothing good.) The parasites are afraid that the host is about to jump in a flea bath and that their lives of sucking off of the taxpayer are about to get much less comfortable.

Never understood any of that. As partisan as even I can appear, I've never given a politician a red cent!

Sounds like all these deep-state leeches that live in the swamp need a healthy dose of salt. It is truly a daunting task to rid Washington of this filth - maybe all politicians and public servants should be microchipped and be forced to wear 24/7 livestream bodycams so as to be 100% accountable to those paying their wages?

Let the record show this was not an anti-Trump thread. Just saying for the people complaining about politics on ATS.

Actually it's glorifying the Great Orange Daddy (G.O.D.) thread.

He sure found a way to stay if not ahead of, than away from the game. Netanyahu says he's always welcome there. I said keep him.
Meanwhile back at the ranch....
Flynn declines Senate subpoena and will plead the fifth.

I know plenty of people who work for the State and Federal governments. Most are stout Democrats because Democrat presidents have lined their pockets better than Republicans did. They were all for Hillary and mostly vote Democrat on all the major government candidates. It is actually quite sickening to listen to them praise the Democrats, they do not even bother checking out if the Democratic candidate is honest or good, as long as the money keeps rolling in they are happy. They want the government to keep giving their departments money so they can keep on working and have their retirement benefits grow. Bureaucracies also love Democrats, they get more money to waste, Republicans make them use the money on useful things. For years I was inter-tangled in that with my business. I did work for a government agency.

Many people in the Medical trade also love Democrats. That is because Democrats actually support the medical issues more, they want to make it so everyone can go to the doctor for everything and that increases healthcare insurance costs and income for the medical trades.

That polarization is everywhere, the Republicans have their polarization too.

Figures. Senate has so undermined its position with all this selective political hearings and subpoena over the last few years. with some playing "let me help you" to the person on the grill. And even though this may have not looked good at other times in our history........no one cares, no one is listening and Don will weather this.

I'll second that!
As a public servant one should have their income and finances monitored as well. Any large deposits or withdraws tracked. You serve the public not the self and when that line is crossed you should be held accountable.

Yeah. Do it for the ENTIRE government, including Trump. And yes they DO serve us. Not the other way around.

Yeah, but 50%+ and climbing for taxes isn't bad.

Christ all the government is a pyramid scheme at this point, taking a chunk off the top of everything.

"you owe me 50% of your lifes work is pretty fn arrogant"

Time to be done with income taxes, or start a new system.
We are not supposed to be taxed, the constitution was written to protect us from this situation of cash being used for control.

Bunch of lawyer-brained d#cks

Agreed.

People who don't get it- try this.
Track every dollar you spend, categorized by tax. Gas has a tax. Food has a tax. Bills have taxes. It'll take a while to get the percentages all down, but it's worth it for this experiment.
Do this for a full year. I did 2015.

Early 2016, I took every dollar I earned and put it in column A. Then, every dollar I never saw went into column B. Then, every dollar I spent minus their equivalent tax in column C, and then the tax from column C into column D.

That way, A-B-C-D = 0.
B+D = how much your society has taken from you without consent to provide what you get from it.
C is what you actually needed for your expenses for the year.

Now keep in mind that C is what you spent on "product" - of which, a portion is going to the seller so they can pay their their D.

When (B+D)/A >50%, then you're in a socialist country- they take most of what you earn, and use it to provide for you. Only in america, they use it to line their pockets instead.
Mine was 52% in 2015.

Yep, work yourself to death, get hit from all sides.

But, if you do good enough, you can rent a house from the gov and the banks who put up 10% of their cash for the mortgage, while they collect interest against the full amount.

I am getting ready to cut a $31,000 check to the IRS, and am fn' pissed, I would pump that directly back into the economy, and maybe even branch off another line of investments that would employ people, but that's not happening.

Don't worry, there will be another scandal at five and another MSM media source created to distract us from this reality.

Hell, why not just make one part of the gov look scandalous, so the whole thing isn't called out?
-oh wait nvm
