Why is there such a deep resentment between Iran and Israel and why do you say that Israel stands in their way as far as unity? Is it the land? I once read that Israel is on highly coveted land.

Some Muslims don't want Jews and Christians in Palestine (Israel) because its THEIR holy land (too)

Sure some Jews who moved back to Palestine declared a third temple a few years back and started to make adornments for said temple got some press, but...

Israel is a non signatory to the nuclear proliferation pact.

Their whistle blower is still in jail.

The Iraqis built a reactor which Israel destroyed for fear of anyone else in the neighborhood having on par weapons capability.

Israel is the bully in the region.

They are not "a chosen people".

The "destroy Israel" thing is out the window considering they are a non declared nuclear power that has never been inspected by the UN.

My dream is that someone will detonate a nuclear device on the Temple Mount and render the whole "my god is better than yours" thing a moot point while it decontaminated over the years.
