Rev 12:1-9
1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

First off, my understanding of this vision is it was given to John, it was part of Johns vision, not a sign that will be seen by everybody. The women is a representation of the firstfruits, the 144,000 that have been sealed. The crown of 12 stars is a representation of the 12 apostles. The child is Jesus, he was born of the woman because he is the son of man, he was born into this world because of mankind, to redeem mankind and bring man back to the father. The woman shines with brightness as the sun and the moon under her feet is a representation of Israel.

As for the solar eclipse in August, that is certainly a bad omen.

Fall signals that the year is coming to an end and many people realize they didn't do jack $h1t.

Needless to say this depresses the crap out of the masses... hence all the doom and gloom.

No. No, it's not interesting at all. At literally any given time in human history, there are at some people who think the End of Days is right around the corner. Every single period of human history. And yet, here we are.
Also, looking for similarities between vague prophecies and current events is foolish, and that's putting it extremely kindly. Stupid, more like. I mean, that's the very nature of vague prophecies. That's WHY they are vague: so gullible people can interpret them to fit whatever they want them to fit. It's why "psychics" speak in generalities, it's why "prophets" speak in generalities. Add in the fact that our brains are wired to find connections between things, even when those things aren't truly connected.... it's just remarkably silly to give credence to anything like this.
Have you learned nothing from the last 100 doomsday prophecies that never came to fruition? Some/many of which were supposedly linked to and/or foretold by the exact same passage that this one is supposedly foretold by?

To me, the twelfth chapter is what film producers call a "flashback". The book Revelation is about the fact that Satan is persecuting the church. Ch12 returns to the events of the past to explain why.
The child being born and rising into heaven is Christ himself. The "battle in heaven" is about what Christ achieved on the Cross, the act of atonement for sin which destroyed the standing of "the accuser" and threw him down from his place of power. That is why it is said that the accuser has been conquered "by the blood of the Lamb" (v11). The whole scene is a dramatised version of the doctrine of the Atonement.
This accounts for the resentment of Satan and his desire for revenge (v12), which motivates the persecution of the church as we see in ch13.

I submit (in contrast)... the 'Sign' in the Heavens...i.e. Virgo w/ crown/Sun/Moon/birthing Jupiter --->> is the 'Sign' foretold as the 'Sign of the Son-of-Man' that is seen immediately before the period of Wrath & Judgements @ the End-of-the-Age as told by Jesus himself to the disciples

So we have until September 23rd? This thread is more optimistic than the other one, which ended the world while the Eclipse was occurring...on 8.21.2017.

I mean its not only the stars and planets, its also the whole package of John the Baptist - the author of the legendary Book of Reveleation - being celebrated Sep. 23 since time immemorial, and its Nostradamus and Buddha and.... I mean I am not sure something happens tomorrow but its not unlikely and if it doesnt it will happen in the next few months anyway.

Have a look at the natural disasters the last month or so - its quakes, hurricanes and volcanoes suddenly waking up in an angry mood. Mother earth is fed up with us. Our only hope is in the Lord - as usual.

My head says this will be nothing and it's got very firm intellectual ground to stand on.

My heart wants so much for this to be it and the indicators look like it may be. Certainly, I think there is more to this than almost all of the past doom porns we've watched through.

That still doesn't mean anything major will happen at all. Even if it does mark the beginning of those time, nothing at all may happen tomorrow.

At least from the influences around me, no one seems to think of it as doom porn, nor is it scary.
