Must protect myself from spoilers.

I don't have showtime or cable but I really want to see the return of twinpeaks.

Is it a remake?

If so not going to bother with it.

The original series is just so weirdly amazing.

I was wondering the same thing if it was a remake or a new series. I was in Snoqualmie Washington when they were filming once. I watched them for 1 hour just trying to make a commercial about the pies at that restaurant and they couldn't get it right and had to leave. It was still interesting to watch though.

It is not. It is a continuation. With a bunch of the old actors - including, of course, Kyle Maclachlan as special agent Dale Cooper. (just writing that almost gives me goosebumps, haha!)

It's total Lynch so far. Not very Twin Peaks.

I'm one satisfied fan.

Please, get 'The Good Dale' out of the Black Lodge!

Amazing premier!

Video On Demand already has parts 3 and 4 available? I thought they would air next week. I also seem to remember reading the series would be a short number of episodes.

I'm realizing this isn't a series in the usual sense. This isn't a 'return to Twin Peaks.'

Folks, we are looking at David Lynch's latest film broken up into parts..I call it, Cooperhead.

It was a smash! I just started on 'part 3' and it's got a real Eraserhead vibe as the 2 hour premier did. It even has made obvious reference to it in 'part 3.'

Just what does Lynch have up his sleeve??

With that said, I foresee a lot of Twin Peaks fans being disappointed, and lots of new viewers being repelled.

As usual, this material is for those who embrace the bizarre world of David Lynch's mind.

Those are some of the most poignant shots. Using Eraserhead as an example--watching Henry observe his world and flash through a dozen different emotions and expressions is something that engages me.

I can see why it's not everybody's thing. David Lynch was a painter before he got into film and I view a lot of his works as living paintings.

Indeed.
I didn't think anything on TV could top the season 2 finale in terms of weirdness and mystery. Not only have we got a complete continuation of it, but it has been topped too.
The way Lynch shows us the otherworldly, unfathomableness of the spirit world on screen is masterful. As is the exaggerated awkwardness of human relationship and interaction, like someone's on the verge of a panic attack just from a simple dealing with another person.

Great stuff!

I absolutely love the retro atmosphere as well. Not much modern high tech showing. Its 25 years later the original show, but its still kinda set in the 90's

Fantastic 4 episodes so far. As a David Lynch fan this is exactly what I needed. In this dire times of unoriginality and reboots and remakes and etc.

Nothing but love.

Lynch cranked to 11.

I was worried Showtime would force some over-explaining or dumbing down but.. wow, was I surprised at their ability not to do that. But this is clearly for the people that both get Lynch and love Twin Peaks.

Can't wait for more.

NON EXIST ENT!

Better than entertainment, it's a wonderful unhook.
Thanks for the opp to applaud and bump the OP Jungian.

I believe this series will prove that IQ and all other growth
factors will not be an issue-- because I' m just as confused
and blown away as the first time. Probably just stupid here.

Cheryl aged just as nice as Angie Dickenson with a dash o'
nasty as well. I take it back, better. Vibratin' out of town
like that after the peck broke my heart for a second.
Oh Laura whip me beat me make me write bad checks [sigh].

I've been trying to figure out that scene forever! And yes, have also wondered if Lynch will give us a "key" to understanding it.
