There is a total lack of acknowledgement of any thought other than that which the angry mob insists

Back on topic... is cultural appropriation a thing? Marxists are starting to say that sushi at a cafeteria is cultural appropriation. When I was in school it was called cultural diffusion. It was a sharing of different cultures for the enrichment of both or as many as necessary. When did that change? Why are we trying to divide or segregate people instead of having open dialogue and the sharing of cultures? I'm White and Filipino does that mean I can only eat burgers and adobo? If i like siracha on my burger does that mean I am Oppressing Thai's? This is insanity.

Also why do we continue to cave to the whims of the angry mob? Removing the statue of Robert E Lee in New Orleans is ultimately just a power play by the mayor. But it is also a part of a trend of the removal of history that is inconvenient to modern leftist narratives. See bill nye's redacted genetics episode Link Things are not always as black and white and there are in fact shades of gray. (The Civil War that is, there are only 2 genders scientifically and genetically speaking)

History is important in the understanding of why they did what they did, or it may repeat itself. Not to just label them grey (Bad) and Blue (good). It was a war primarily fought over states rights, as well as slavery. Taking down statues will not erase that history, millions of bodies are still buried. Previous posters would have you believe I am just imagining these patterns of control over the narrative. But anyone with half a brain can see what they are doing.

If “History is written by the victors.” does this mean we've already lost?

My original point, aside from people hiding behind repeated talking points, was that people were also refusing to acknowledge ideas, which is all you've done on this thread.

Let me get this straight.

The US is becoming like North Korea because some of the press is criticising the president?

Food for thought indeed.

Marxists or a handful of liberals who caught the eye of a reporter?

That is like saying if she didn't dress like that, she wouldn't have been raped. People like you are what allow the lynch mob to go unchecked.

People refusing to acknowledge ideas?

Like refusing to acknowledge the idea that maybe a 3rd bathroom might need to be installed?

Nobody is hiding behind repeated talking points. I pointed out the hypocrisy of calling people out for it while doing the same.

Modern liberalism is marxism, I know, i was taught it in college they gave me the communist manifesto and everything.

People claim that we hold a "free market" one that has control over most major corporations, the world bank, the U.N., neocons, neolibs, lobbyists, Congress, bureaucrat plants, DHS, CIA, fbi, the press, Google, tv, streaming, hollywood, colleges, all major cities, most of my peers... Yeah if this is how corrupt capitalism gets, i'd hate to see how your socialism would go over. But they are really the same thing aren't they? The same ruling class just gains more power, taxing the middle class out of power.

I never said I was against them, I was just against the level of attention that they get while the middle class is ignored. It's awkward when a little girl has to go into the men's room because her brother or father has to use it. Many public restrooms already have a single communal/family restroom, I think they could also serve the same purpose for trans people. Third bathrooms for all!

You have a problem with twisting what people actually post.

I do believe that what Whodathunkdatcheese was pointing out is that it is a small percentage of people making a lot of noise. Whether you want to conflate liberals with marxists is beside that point.

That was just one example of the other mob not wanting to acknowledge ideas, not necessarily you.

Do you wear your pants on your head? You do don't you? So we're both mobs not wanting to acknowledge, not wanting to acknowledge, not wanting to acknowledge, not wanting to acknowledge, not wanting to acknowledge, when does it end? During the Reagan era, people tried to work together more to get what everybody needed that is my message. Thats it!

It doesn't end. Especially not with condescending threads.

You seem to be looking at the Reagan era through rose colored glasses.

But the problem is that those small vocal libs are still libs, and still represent your toxic ideals. Listen, I think you are the enemy of america, almost everything you stand for is wrong in my opinion, one which I am allowed to have because this is a free country. The difference is that i'm still kind of open to some of your ideas, in part because you hold power, but also because i agree with some of them, my party might not be on board but you can't blame me for that. But that is why I bring up the mob, both sides need to work together better somehow.

I'm an outsider pointing out that this thread doesn't really convey the spirit of cooperation.

If you knew what was at stake, and are still defending them they are yours as far as i'm concerned. I'm sorry if my strong language offends you but I care about my country.

Can't help twist what people post?

You are free to hold whatever opinion you like. Doesn't change the fact that this thread comes off as hostile and not actually conducive to cooperation.
