Wow you manage to trigger people posting non political news too. Brings a little levity to sad news.

Shades of my brother living & working in NYC for the better part of a year & almost being an organic speedbump on the sidewalk with others because of a drunk moron trying to drive. Twice.

Younger guy, short dark hair...hard to tell how tall he was as they were basically dragging him while in cuffs.

He was being frog marched, so I doubt he was bent over due to injury. He was stumbling along like most people do when they're in that position.

Zero Hedge has a tweet from NYC Scanner that tagged NYPD Highway's twitter as if to cite them, but there isn't a damn thing on their twitter about it.

It's smelling like BS fearmongering to me.

Go figure, this waste of flesh had prior DUI's..
Hopefully he goes to jail for the rest of his life..

Because of a previous accident in my life I have no tolerance for idiots that drive while impaired be that drugs, drinking or texting.

Zero Hedge tagged NYPD Highway's twitter as if to cite them, but there isn't a damn thing on their twitter about it.

Breaking911 simply posted that there was a second accident at roughly the same time. Pretty much all they do is post 911 related incidents and offer little to no commentary. As I offered no commentary either, there was no fearmongering. Reporting incidents that are in close proximity and are of a similar nature that are happening at a similar time is reporting news, not fearmongering.

It appears that the incident on Staten Island was a multi-vehicle accident and that pedestrians were struck. The two incidents aren't, apparently, related.

Then again, nobody said they were.

Drunks/alcoholics typically don't use clocks to time their drinking.

And for all those who would say noon is too early to drink anyway, no it's not. It depends on work schedule and thus is entirely subjective. Noon is midnight for my husband, he'd have a drink then if he wasn't asleep. Instead, he has beers or a stiff drink at 6am when he gets home from his 12 hour overnight shift. Now keeping schedule in mind, bitch that it's too early, I dare ya.

One witness suggested that it looked like the driver was intentional.

1 dead (RIP) and 19 injured so far.
