Let's see if I have this story right.

A man (Volke) was married to another man (Mayang) that was in the process of becoming a transgendered woman. Both are "escorts" working in the sex industry. This first man kills his pre-operation transgender wife and cooks up the wife's feet, possibly to be eaten as a meal.

Basically two homosexual prostitutes in a gay marriage, one wanted to become a woman while the other was a murdering closet cannibal? Sounds like a hellish existence to me. I wonder if they were drug addicted or had other problems leading up to this (seems pretty obvious that they did).

He lured him / her away from working in legal brothels to make more money working privately. Volke mainly lived of Mayangs money.

Which makes the op's assumptions weird since the only person that falls into the lgbt label would be the wife who was the victim. In that case, yes, a lot of lgbt are "like that". Victims of assault and murder.
