It will at least be interesting to see if after getting wooped for 10 rounds or so if conner finally loses it and round house kicks floyd in the face for the win.

That would be fun

That's the thing though, the expectation is that he is going to lose, it is just a matter of what round he gets his ass handed to him. If he manages to go deep then it's more of a win for him than Mayweather. If he gets clubbed early it makes him look like a bigger jackass than he already is.

What's next? Klitschko versus Thunderlips?

i personally agree with you but i think the majory of ufc fans will still be on his balls and it will be passed off by conor and dana as of course he lost. it was a boxing match. at least conor has the heart to try something like that.
of course conor will go in and say it was all about the check and how he owns new york and # and the beer drinkers are going to eat it up and buy the shirt

true fight fans and students of it will see what you see

To be fair Conor's takedown defence has got a lot better, you don't need a great ground game if you can stuff shots effectively, just look at Aldo.

I don't think he's gonna win the mayweather fight at all but when you're used to moving out of kicking range, getting out of punching range after you get off isn't anywhere near as hard. He has heavy hands, great timing, good angles and can close distance quickly. There's also the fact that there's no footage of mcgregor pure boxing for Floyd's team to study beyond some random sparring clips.

Most likely scenario though is Floyd is gonna win on points and make it look easy.

conor wont get that far. no way

he is going to be throwing punches that hit nothing and that # makes you tired man

conor is not known for his cardio.
the longer it goes the more frustrated he will be and he will start to be less precise with his attempts and floyd will touch him on the button and thats it

Connor is too unpredictable for Mayweather. Floyd will run for 2 rounds and then he will get put to sleep.

Also, Alverez beat the crap out of Mayweather. Anywhere other than Vegas and Canillo would've took the title.

cant wait to throw this back in your face
thanks for giving your opinion though. its yours and its valid i just dont agree

hope i can rub this in at some point

conor has never fought anyone that covers like floyd either
people that are good at the shell are no joke man

I hope we get a chance to find out.

On a side note, I was just wondering... are spinning back fists and superman punches illegal in boxing? I know they're certainly not conventional, but are they illegal?

Two things, one, I am not even going to bother watching this.

Two, I happen to be in Vegas right now, I don't gamble but I am going to the sports book tomorrow and dropping some money on this since it is such a joke of a sure thing in my mind that Mayweather is going to kick his ass badly.

jitsu is my first love so i will never agree that you dont need a ground game.
of course there have been successful fighters over the years with not much of a ground game but over all, across all promotions since the 90's the most successful guys are at least competent on the ground. i wouldnt even give conor that

if conor fought a wizard on the ground like kron or eddie he would be tooled like you wouldnt believe and it would be beautiful

Most likely outcome is Connor McLoudmouth gets his bell rung by the 5th.

i really dont know boxing rules but if i had to guess i would say they are legal. i wouldnt see why not after all it is still a fist shot. ive never seen it done in a boxing fight but that dont mean #.
wish i had an answer for that

Backfists no, can't hit with the back or side of the glove but superman punches would probably be legal.

nothing to bet on yet though...right?
can you set a bet for a fight that is not even lined up?
i dont gamble so i dont know

IF and that is a monster if conor wins whoever bets on him is going to get paid

edit

im with your prediction of by the 5th
as in 5th at the latest

i see it happening before then

it takes a lot of wind out of a person throwing punches and not hitting anything

Damn, you're right. I thought your OP was that it was a go, my mistake.

Oh well.

ETA: The sportsbooks will allow you to place and early bet. The odds suck, not even worth it at -2000/+900.

would you win much if you bet on floyd to win?
i dont really understand how it works

floyd is going to be such a favorite i dont see how there can be much of a payout when most people are going to lay it on floyd

im going to come back to kron a last time and say im bummed he is not with the ufc but people really dont want to see technicians on the ground. at least not most fans in the united states.
sucks for me because thats exactly what i want to see.

good thing there is no shortage of grappling shows.

i like seeing it in mma rules though. makes me very happy when strikers get tapped

i just saw your edit about the odds but i have no idea what it means

so at those odds if i put a hundo on floyd what would i get?
if i put a hundo on conor what would i get?

thanks man

No, the odds are atrocious. Bet $2,000 to win $100 on Mayweather, bet $100 to win $900 on McGregor. So you were pretty close on your 10-1 for McGregor.

Last guy Floyd knocked out was Ortiz 6 years ago and it wasn't exactly skilful. Before that I'm not even sure it was this millennium. If he gets a KO against mcgregor I'll be very surprised but would be cool to see.

Those were boxers, this guy is not. I don't want to say McGregor has no chance since Mayweather could slip, break his neck on the corner stool and become paralyzed.

that would be the 1 in 10 that i give conor

conor is far out of his league on this one

floyd has probably been boxing as long as conor has been alive

conor has never had a professional boxing match.
floyd has been in 49 professional fights and won then all.

then factor in all the ring time floyd has and all the smokers you know he has fought in.

laughable to say conor has a shot at this....

Well, the good news for McGregor is he'll still end up as a 50million dollar crybaby after this regardless.

for sure
as much as i really dont like him as a person(thought i really want to) and i pretty much dislike him as a fighter you really have to hand it to him as far as making his bennies...
in 2013 he was on social welfare.
not he is killing it...wearing mink and driving beamers and #....

good for him on that you know.

the one thing i will say i like about conor is his suits...his #in suits are smooth.....

i only have 1 suit and have only worn it once but if i had money like him i would have a few of these bitches too.
definitely be rolling up to saville row in my phantom
