Out of an abundance of caution, Boeing has grounded all the 737 Max aircraft, just before delivery of the first aircraft. It was found by CFM that one
of the suppliers of Low Pressure Turbine disks manufactured the disks with a defect in them that could lead to them failing.
Boeing has flown over 2,000 hours with the Max prototypes without any engine problems, in addition to several hundred hours of flight and ground
testing by CFM International without any problems. Some of the delivered engines don't have the same quality issue, so some deliveries will go ahead.
Boeing has at least 4 engines that are problem free, so they can deliver at least two aircraft this month.
