We don't hate Christians and Muslims. We just hate their ideologies.

methinks this guy qualifies as a HYPOCRITE and not a Christian in anything but name.

Like how most Muslims want to distance themselves from radical Muslims?

Btw, you should know that no human being can condemn another to hell. That's the sort of judging we can't do. What we can do is warn you what happens when you engage in sin and do not seek forgiveness, but that is what happens to everyone if they don't seek forgiveness. Gays aren't special sinners compared to anyone else in the world.

BTW, who are you to call homosexuality a sin? That kind of prejudice is the first step towards caning...and worse!

Their country. Their laws.

In some places, gays sue people who don't comply with their demands

In other places the only acceptable relationship is that of the heterosexual variety

What's so difficult to understand

Gay people suing vs. gay people getting canned and/or killed.

Hmmm.

I won't defend this.

In fact I'll go the whole hog and say the treatment of Gay people by my fellow Muslims is one of the worst aspects of the Faith.

They should try reading the Quran, where the word Gay/Homosexual doesn't appear.

They'd rather be ruled by Hadith.

Glad I'm a Quranist, and doubly glad that it's the fastest growing form of Islam.

These backward freaks should pay more attention to Jesus (PBUH) and judge not lest ye be judged.

Thank you for your post, you bring up a point that I have puzzled over some time.

What is the appeal within Islam for the harsh and seemingly unforgiving tenets of the Hadith?

I sense that my question may be arising from a form of media "brainwashing" with regard to what is and is not indicative of the "Typical Muslim" (that such even exists), and if that is the case, please accept my sincere apology.

I am curious, and I have a sense that I am most likely ignorant in my perception.

No like it says in the bible know them by their works. Not distancing at all. just saying he is acting like a hypocrite.

Uh huh,but their actions and works also says what they are dont it? Muslims support the actions even though they do not do them. christians who actually follow NT scripture do not accept what our hypocrites do.

Are you constantly afraid here in America (I am assuming that you are living here) every day because a few Muslims live here?
Both Christians and Muslims generally don't support those actions.

"I am afraid of Christians because of what some people like Robert Dear did."

You're just special pleading

"It's different with Christianity because... reasons"

What's so difficult to understand is that people like you want to throw people like me off roof tops. Or cane us. Or beat us senseless.

We never chose to be this way.

Heterosexual males think they are the lords of all creation. But creation is pluralistic, not dualistic. Therefore heterosexuals might be king of the jungle, but other types live in it too.

And people like you want to bomb us from the sky and brush it off as collateral damage

See, I can play the generalization game as well.

Human society is not a jungle. We've always lived by rules and norms. With regard to homosexuals, these norms vary from place to place. Its part of the worlds cultural diversity.

Pfft.

So killing gays who are your own people from your own country makes you feel better because AMERICA bombs you.

It's heterosexuals from another land who drop the bombs sweetheart.

We gay's just take issue with the way you treat us. And unlike religion and race, our brotherhood knows no boundaries.

I wish I could tell you, Bhadhidar...

I'd guess it's a cultural thing.

I'd be surprised if any of these Muslims have ever read the Quran or Hadith...
Illiteracy aside, I think most are just brought up from birth to accept this as the norm.

You see they mostly follow the words of Clerics...

As a convert there is no middle man between me a God.

So I don't have the same problem.

Maybe it is held over cultural things from the tribal past of the people before the Prophet came along?
I don't know, but it is a possibility.

I think it's fair to say that it's a religious thing. We have the haters here, but they cloak it in "Hate the sin, love the sinner". But when it plays out, there seems to be a heftier amount of hate than love in that equation. And if you're down on gays because they're gay...well, it's all just a matter of degrees after that, isn't it?
