What lie was that?
Honestly he always sounds like he was just asking to be fired. How does anyone say one thing then turn around and say the opposite with a straight face.

Seems that was what I heard from Clapper yesterday as well.

Just my take...

Sessions has now had the time to review all the active and otherwise FBI investigations and there must have been one too many red flags.

Like we already didn't now that.

Some articles state he fired Comey on the request of Jeff Sessions. I smell a conspiracy here and it's probably related to the Russian investigation.

The official line from the White House is that it was at the recommendation of Sessions. CNN was just reading a copy of the letter that was sent to Comey from Trump. Here was (part) one of the lines:

"While I greatly appreciate you informing me on three seperate occassions that I am not under investigation,"

This smells bad and it's not going to sit well with a lot of people. Trump canned Comey at the recommendation of Sessions, who is in fact part of the investigation? Ugh.

Frankly, so does needing to have intent to break the law. I wonder how hard they looked to see if Scooter Libby "intended" to "mispeak" before they scalped him for perjury? Oh, that's right. He was the best they could do to claim a victim in the Bush admin for the Plame Affair.

My guess is during the course of the investigation into Trump, something was revealed about Comey....whether that was something to do with the Clinton investigation would be interesting to hear.

They have all already stated more than once they can't find any connection with Trump and Russia. Regardless of if people want to believe that, all intelligence agencies involved have found nothing and stated so.

Kind of strange to be called back to testify after being fired for not enforcing an unconstitutional travel ban. Then add in what was said about Clinton email shindig. Two wrong don't make a right.

Even myself thinking the Russia deal is way overblown..I cant think of anything that would make him sound more guilty than constantly repeating this line, even having to throw it into the termination letter for seemingly no reason.
