But when they "come together", the Republican majority doesn't utilize those precious days efficiently. For instance, today is Sept 14th. Congress returned from Summer vacation on Sept 5th. Between then and now, the Republicans have done absolutely NOTHING.

The U.S. HOUSE is on break tomorrow, and all of next week! The U.S. SENATE only works 3 days next week.

SENATE and HOUSE are both on vacation AGAIN. Started today, and will extend through the next 5 days. You'd think that they accomplish a lot when they're session, and REWARD themselves for getting so much done, by taking these frequent vacations.

U.S. Senators leave town for ANOTHER 10 (TEN!) day vacation!

Their "accomplishments" since their last vacation ended 30 days ago, on September 5th??

1. NO ObamaCare Fixes.

2. NO important Progress on Tax Reform.

3. NO funding for the Childrens Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Funding expired on September 30th.

4. NO progress on DACA

We pay them $185,000 + expenses, for this?!?!

Why would you want them working more hours?
They screw things up plenty bad in the time they work now.

Yeah, no kidding. As much of a mess as they've made of the country...both parties, mind you...I'd say that the more vacations that Congress takes, the better off we probably are. In fact, I think I'd support giving Congress a pay raise if they'd all just stay home every day.

Congress is coming back from it's 6th vacation of the year, next week. If they'd work more days a year, they wouldn't complain about having "so much on their plate", as Senate leader Mitch McConnell cried about.

Isn't a congressman's job to get re-elected? It certainly seems that way.

More time is spent shaking hands and raising money than doing what their constituents sent them to Congress to do in the first place.

They'd be re-elected more easily if they DID THEIR DAMN JOB.

Congress recently returned from a 11 day "Spring Break" vacation. At the end of this week, they leave Washington for a TWO WEEK Easter vacation!

And they planted "bombs" in the schedule to keep President Trump from making any "recess appointments" while they're back at home, or on an island vacation someplace.

No Recess Appointments Mr. President!: twitter.com...

It must be very frustrating to be a Workaholic President with a Congress that works less than half the year!

Unfortunately, nothing has changed. More pay/benefits but the same 138 days a year for the U.S. HOUSE. In fact, they leave tomorrow, Thursday, July 26th at 5pm and don't return until Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 4th.

2018 Congressional Calendar: www.rollcall.com...

The U.S. SENATE is working most of August, because majority leader Mitch McConnell cancelled their vacation, in order to get more judges confirmed. Democratic Senators stonewalled so much this year, that the Senate fell behind schedule. Now, they ALL must pay...including the Democrat dumbos.

For a U.S. House that is placing such a high priority on "Impeach Trump!", they sure take a lot of vacations.

Finishing up 2 weeks in session, after a 6 week Summer Break. Tomorrow (9.27.2019), they begin a 17 day vacation.

CONGRESS IS CANCELLING PART OF ITS CHRISTMAS VACATION:

The U.S. House is going back into Session just before Christmas, in order to Impeach President Trump.

Steny Hoyer Confirms it: twitter.com...

This is good news! The Senate will be able to kick off 2020 by destroying crooked Democrats, one-by-one.

Congress QUIETLY left town on February 13th (day b4 Valentines), and will return on Tuesday, February 25th. I guess it was labeled as the 12 day "Valentine Break".

With Congress away, the Trump Administration is accomplishing more than usual!

Posted for Continued Awareness:

From June 25th thru September 8th, the U.S. House is only in session for 2 weeks.

We pay each of the 400 members a minimum $90,000 annual salary for this.

I don't want these pricks making laws.

If you put 400 people in a room and tell them to make laws ... they will make laws!

The problem is this ... if they made the right laws from the start ... we wouldn't need them to continue making laws.

How many laws do you want!

You need a new system. So do we. This system is broken, has been for a long time.
