Be a hero for a fast food place, or just hand over the money knowing theres an awesome HD security cam 4 feet from your head?

"Here you go sir, grab some cookies while youre at it!"

No Doubt cool as a cucumber....or maybe he knew it was jammed to. You can clearly see the slide stuck back with a load failure.

The sandwich was a metaphor for something a lot bigger.

He might have noticed that the gun wasn't even fully in battery, atleast that's what it looked like to me.

It would not have been able to fire.

Still, pretty calm guy.

ETA: see someone else mentioned the jam.

The kid saw the malfunction immediately. That's why he was so calm.

That said, he still continued to comply, which was in his best interests.

Jimmy John's has insurance. Let them take the hit, be a good witness.

Crap! I think I might know which Jimmy Johns that is ...

It wouldn't surprise me if he did recognize the condition of the gun. This is Kansas/Missouri land. We do have a pretty strong legal gun culture out here, lotta hunting, lotta firearms, concealed and open carry.

Been in that kid's shoes a couple of times, except the gun wasn't jammed.
No sense in losing your life over a barely over minimum wage job with zero benefits.
Try not to make eye contact and stick the money in a bag.

If I was the robber, I would wait for the sandwich before robbing the place.
