Jonathan Demme, director of The Silence of the Lambs, dies at 73

The director's publicist said: "Sadly, I can confirm that Jonathan passed away early this morning in his Manhattan apartment, surrounded by his wife, Joanne Howard, and three children.

"He died from complications from oesophageal cancer.

BBC.com, Aprl 26, 2017 - Jonathan Demme, director of The Silence of the Lambs, dies at 73.

Thank you Mr. Demme for all of the entertainment you brought to life! Especially The Silence of the Lambs as that movie has stood the test of time and provides me "comfort food" when I am hungry for a great story!

Of the documentaries he made, one has stuck with me since I saw it in 1984, Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense.
