Did you know Bob Dylan admitted selling his soul to the devil?

I really didn't knew one of the worlds most famous musicians openly admitted this, until I found this video on youtube.



I know there will always be people who're going to say he meant something else. But for me, it is pretty damn obvious he means he sold his soul to the devil. God knows how many musicians made a bargain with "the chief commander"... But looking at todays music industry I think there are a lot more musicians who are following the same path.



What's your take on this?

He did not - preachin' Bob is clearly talking about God, when he talks about the "chief commander". He had a very religious phase and an in the late 70's even took five months off to go to bible school.

Yeah, he made some sort of 'deal' with God - likely it just in form of a more or less random prayer in which he pleaded for God's help to overcome some struggle or other.

He could have been referring to God. I don't know. The whole comment seems sketchy to me and off the cuff.

A brilliant talented junkie hippie, I've seen him live.
But he's no servant of satan unless satan's downfall is hiring practices.

The contract was of course a parchment paper scroll because we all know that's how it's done.

If he did, he got gyped. He should have been able to continually reinvent himself thus remaining relavant instead of setting with the sun. I myself never saw the appeal.

Not that I believe it exists, but why do people attribute so many magical powers to the devil when the bible specifies all he can do is lie and temp?

You are making things up. You and many more like you are hearing what you want to hear and not what he is meaning. Yes, he plays games with us and that is something else I like about him; his dry humour. I am like it, too. Bob is a great and good man. He has his shortfalls like we all do, but that ain't one of them.

Bob is a great and good man.

How do you know what kind of Man a perfect stranger is? You read hearts from pictures. We don't even know the hearts of our close kin.

Anyone can admit to anything. That doesn't make it any less stupid to believe it is true.
