There seems to be a rather constant theme for some of us. Lack of support (or lack of family or estranged family)...loss of work (due to injury or illness)...and an overwhelming feeling of sadness and loneliness.

Yes it is sad as I experience all of the above at times. My dad is more strange than estranged so I try to ignore him as much
as I can. Living in his house makes this difficult. I love my mom and get along with her fine. The only problem is she is severely depressed. I hear her comments every day. Mainly she can't stand dad and thinks the world would be better off without men. The best way I can explain dad is that he thinks he is everyone's boss.

As a man, my mom's comments hurt a bit but I know they are not directed at me, just dad.
Without transportation I feel like a prisoner here with nothing to do to better myself or the world.

Thanks for your support. I'm going through the hard part now of waiting to see the cardiologist. At the ER I found out my heart was only working at 10% capacity. With all the medicine I'm on now I feel better but am wondering how much I've improved from 10%.

The last itty bitty bit
The door had been magically crafted and shone bright before her, gleaming though the wood was of the deepest chocolate in colour, the gilded quartz the door sat encased within warm to the touch as she ran her fingertips over the golden edge, the door creaking open seemingly of its own volition as she removed her hand from the area that was attuned to the touch of a Magister. Kaelci stepped through the entrance and climbed the stairs that allowed her access to her tower and, after a cursory glance about the area, she sighed heavily to herself.

Darien was not here. Her search would continue.

The new itty bitty bit
Wandering through the numerous halls,
In vain the Magister, she searches,
The robes she wears swish silently,
The seconds pass, the anxiety, it surges.
A hidden turmoil flows through,
It floods every cell and vein,
There is no expulsion; repression,
Her smile, it masks the pain.
A bright flutter dances closer,
The pixie passes, her golden dust adrift,
It lightly coats the lady Magister,
She shivers at the unwanted gift.
A vibrant cheer is quick to exude,
Tis but a farce; a magical falsity,
A laugh emerges, a feisty giggle,
Inside, she shuns the contrived positivity.
The Magister, she now dances,
Skipping merrily through candlelit halls,
A pirouette, a twirl, an embellished swirl,
She's now oblivious to the silent calls.

Hi Blue Dude, I don't think we are acquainted. I read your story and as Jacygirl stated in the Shed there is an unspoken rule that we support each other. And many of us need it whether we state it loudly or it comes out in a passive way.

My prayers go out to you. What a tremendous amount of bad luck, and I hear a warm heart and strong will behind your words. Stay strong and stay put.

LOL! Just caught this post. I'll have a drink with you, or two or three. Give me a little time, I'm catching up in here.

Oh goody, I had such a rough flight over here. We some how time warped and had to salvage a ship in distress.

And the accommodations were horrid the holo- deck was out of order, anti gravity was malfunctioning so we had to remain tied down until they fixed it. I am never flying with that company again. GAD.

I wish I knew how to post a pic in the middle of a post. I would post a nice cold mixed drink for you and a pint of Guinness for me. The others are free to grab from the casks.
