Mylene Cruz/Herizen F. Guardiola - Music From The Get Down

I wanted to add her playlist of songs from the Netflix original series The Get Down. If anybody truly has the voice of an angel, it is Herizen.

About the show. The Get Down is a very accurate period production set in the late 70's Bronx during the height of Disco. It follows a group of youngsters as they set out to revolutionize music with their DJ under the apprenticeship of Grandmaster Flash as well as the young Mylene Cruz in her effort to become a nationally acclaimed singer and her evolution from a Gospel singer to Disco Star as well as the ups and downs that come with fame and stardom. This is a very powerful story that will induce heavy emotional reaction to the struggles they face in life between their friends, family, and outsiders during their journey to achieve their goals. It also pays homage to three DJ's that ushered in the birth of hip-hop movement: Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, and Afrikan Bambaataa. Unfortunately hip-hop was hijacked in the early nineties by corporate and Deep State interests as a form of mind control, but that is another topic for another thread.

Herizen Guardiola is a Cuban/Jamaican actress, singer and song writer from Miami. She is very talented and possesses uncanny ability to sing in a diverse range of styles. Her name will become big over the next decade IMHO. Without further ado, here is a sampling of her songs with scenes from the hit Netflix original The Get Down!






If you pay attention to the lyrics throughout the show, there is lots of subliminal suggestion and duality involved. Nonetheless, it is important to at least recognize it even though it is entertaining.
