Here is how I think it works.

First day on the Job Trump was given two options:

1) Play ball like Bush, Obama, Clinton ect

2)Dont and you will find yourself being busted for child porn (planted by the NSA) and your being linked to criminal entities. You will end up in federal prison and your fortune seized under asset forfeiture.

I would be willing to bet that the majority of people that are against our current inappropriate world wide police role were against it when obama was in office.

It isn't that quick, and there isn't much in direct threats and communications. You get requests, and are given veiled threats to help you make "the right decision". When a headline hits, you may get a note asking if your position has changed.

The "Russia collusion" thing will go away, as will any other "seeds" planted (people sent to drop tidbits, like "You know, i hear they can put child porn on your phone without you knowing"). I just don't think that you have 3 men in suits show up to directly threaten you when you are the president. It wouldn't like go so well to be to blunt while sitting in the Oval Office surrounded by people not brought into the fold yet. Its more like, "Thats a lovely reputation you have there....it'd be a shame if anything were to happen to it....", followed by "leaks" that dial up the pressure till you break. Psyops.

If a foreign leader uses conspiracy theory language against an American leader, that doesn't really confirm conspiracy theory- it just confirms that the foreign leader and his advisers have been reading conspiracy theory.

It's called gradual escalation. A little puff here a plume over there and soon gassing whole villages becomes ordinary. Assad thought he had the green light from whatever power his demented mind thinks runs the shots in Washington after seeing reports that he could stay in power. That's all it took for him to start deploying the gas.
