I'd rather dance for nickels than be subjected to adverts at petrol pumps!
Sounds like a #ing nightmare for the OP.
I feel for him/her.

We love our gaudy bill boards advertising Casinos and Walmart. Who wants to see the landscape. borrreeeiiing.

We go mad without constant stimulation. MAGA, MAGA, MAGA!!! Thank God we finally got a president that understands us.

We don't need no stinking EPA or anyother of those money sucking feds.

Drill fracking Drill....baby!!!

When is enough enough? At what point will people get tired of pop bulls# being literally force-fed to them 24/7?

Are you kidding? They long for it to be jacked directly into their brains cells via nanotech hooked to the Queen Spider of the Interwebs.

When did it become desirable to be assimilated by the Borg?

"Resistance is futile."

"Who's resisting?! C'mon in guys, hook us up!"

This is why it's now it's nice to be Canadian. Who needs gas when you just need to throw a little raw meat at the dog sled?

I really, really hope whatever it is you just described doesn't hit Canada

FYI: If the screen has buttons/pads along the sides, the second one down on the right is usually the mute button. I press it as soon as the loudness starts.

I cannot figure out who likes being screamed at?

I have been exposed to this before.

Short of hitting it with my 2 lb baby sledge, which would result in jail time, I go sit in my truck.

Think the purpose of this is to distract customers to putting more gas in your tank than intended.

I like to entertain myself with while filling up the roadster is to take a handful of change and throw it out on the parking lot and watch the homeless fight for nickles and dimes.

I know you were joking, but I have actually seen this happen, sorta. Leaving the strip club one winter back in 05-06 or so, some guy was pulling something out of his pocket, where he had a bunch of singles. I don't know if they were all loos in a clump or what, but they fell but of his pocket and the wind hit them hard and bills were all over. There was a homeless dude lingering nearby that ran out there and started to snatch up what he could. Guy is trying to get his stuff and trying to shove him off, and then two other patrons take advantage and snap up a few bills for themselves. It was definitely the most hilarious thing I saw that year.

All I could think of was filming it for bum fights or something. Remember when that was a thing??

Jail time for criminal damage?!
£250 fine at best in the UK, definitely not jail, unless you are a repeat offender smashing advert screens at petrol stations lol

Ours started with the usual 40 questions...
car wash Yes.....no
use your rewards Yes....no

I only flipped my stuff when after about ten minutes in -5 degrees with 30 MPH wind whipping thru past the pumps, playing "gas station trivial pursuit" it asked me if I wanted,

Cord wood Yes... no

I'm freezing my important bits off, I can't even think straight ALREADY buying fossil fuel when they had the balls to ask me if I wanted the LOW TECH KIND as well? I wouldn't be griping but their marketing dept needed slapped in the head.
How about a reasonable question like "Coffee or Hot Chocolate?"

Now we're getting bombarded with choices like

Mulch 3/$10 Yes....no

I have never, ever gone for a tank of gas and made an impulse purchase for MULCH. Never. Ever. Plus it's not like I didn't see the multiple bill board signs saying it was 3/10 just trying to find a vacant pump. I just want to top off the tank, not move in!! Keeping me there just pisses me off and I hate Trivial Pursuit too.

Grrrrrrr

Move to New Jersey, we don't have to pump our own gas.

I remember. In fact my post was a takeoff on a scene for a TV pilot we just wrapped; Only it was bikini babes scrambling for poker chips in a white trash casino.

Back home it is obligatory to sing West Glamorgan (my county of birth) when doing Denver's 'Country Road' at karaoke.
If you ever visit stick to the coast, you might not return if you venture inland up the mountain valleys...

Kingdom? Even the royal family hold Wales at arms length, constitutionally it is a mere Principality.
No advertising monitors at petrol pumps that I've noticed yet though.
