"The presence itself of military personnel from the U.S. and other countries on the territory of Syria without the permission of the government of that country or a resolution of the U.N. Security Council is a gross, clear and in now way justified violation of international law," the Russian foreign ministry said. "If before it was explained as a mission in the battle against terrorism, now it is a clear act of aggression against a sovereign Syria. The taking of these actions by the U.S. today yet further undermines Russo-American relations."

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin regarded the strike "as aggression against a sovereign nation" that was carried out "in violation of international law, and also under an invented pretext."

The Russian foreign ministry said it was calling for an urgent U.N. Security Council meeting and that it was suspending its current memorandum of understanding with the U.S. military meant to avoid air incidents.

Keep calm. World war 3 is not imminent. It's just sabre rattling like NK does all the time. Besides it's not like they would just come out and announce to the world they would launch a nuclear strike on the US. If a WW3 happens then only as a surprise attack. It's pretty stupid to reveal your plans right before the attack. My guess is that Trump avoided as many casualties as possible on purpose so he could force another sitdown with Russia and Syria.

My friend, I think you misunderstand the situation. WW3 is continuing to ramp up because of the deliberate actions of the west, as led by the deep state of the US.

To link Russia with the sabre-rattling of NK is absurd. Russia and many other nations around the world will continue to be prodded at the whim of western energy and resource demands for only so long before refusing to play ball.

And if you don't think WW3 is an intentional plan by elements of the western controlling elite then you don't have a clue what is coming.

Well naturally no one wants WWIII. Mutually Assured Destruction.
but listening to the radio last night, the "Experts" kept insisting that this will be a long line of PROXY WARS. I agree that may be the case. What's troubling to me is the current state of silence by Iran at the moment. Iran has a very Vested interest in Syria. In time we'll see.

I always find it comical the amount of forethought, planning , and strategy people attribute to Trump for every single move he makes despite the clear evidence to the contrary ...

If he would have thought this out he wouldn't have done it at all, at least not until a thorough investigation....

Acts like these CAN lead to more war..

2. The events of the last few days aren't saber rattling , in fact an air strike is pretty much the opposite of saber rattling

And honestly Syria and Russia have every right to be pissed off about it

I agree but unfortunately most of the United States has been obsessed with Trumps twitter and ludicrous stories of Boris and Natasha hijacking the election to of noticed the men and materiel deployed the last 6 months let alone the provocations in both the Baltics and Eastern Europe they want a war with Russia and I dont think Trump can or will do much to stop it.

Ummm...your guess is wrong...all trumps adventurism did was cause Russia to announce that It is drastically beefing up air defenses in Syria...all while announcing that the bilateral air accord was as dead as those Syrian servicemen...

There were no steps forward toward trumps campaign promises to seek better relations with Russia...just steps back...

This decision was trump raising the surrender flag to the deep state...
This was the dumbest most idiotic move that we could have made...fools one and all...

He had no other choice in that regard. Ther MSM was airing pictures of dead chidlren world wide. This situation was impossible in the first place. If he didn't strike people would call him a coward and spineless like Obama in 2013. Now after surgically removing a serious threat to the syrian civian population he is called a war monger. He just can't win no matter what he does. The fact that he only crippled the syrian airforce is pretty telling and i hope they now find a proper solution to this mess together.

There are people like interpol and others that could of carried out an investigation sanctioned by the UN to find out the facts the serious threat to Syria has been removed?,tell that to the 250,000 killed by western backed elements

Of course he had a choice......

"Sorry I had no choice but to drop bombs on another country or risk looking weak, you know instead of looking like a real leader, launching an investigation, and meeting with Russia and other players in the region to get things done "

Yikes. ....what's scary is that people actually believe that

I prefer to have a REAL leader who focuses on the RIGHT thing, the most PRUDENT things over his self image

The US sentiments haven't changed since 2013. If he had gone to congress they would have said no.
This gets people talking about something other than Russian connections but doesn't really take Russian relations out of the convo.
