The only two nations that are allowed by international law to have sarin are America and the Russians. So if it is sarin, then both sides have some explaining to do.

The problem isn't that they were lying about the chemical weapons.

The problem is that they may have been telling the truth.

Ergo, Assad did get rid of all the chemical weapons and we helped dispose of them.

Ergo, the CIA may have been responsible for this attack in an attempt to lure Trump into an open conflict with Assad and therefor Russia.

Maybe. I don't know.

Duh duh duh dhum!!

The U.S nabbed all the chemical weapons and now children have died and many hospitalised. No connection though, please go about your business, please return to your reality T.V people.

I don't think the US or Russia do Sarin these days.

Russia has far more potent chemical weapons, Novichoks for example, while the US has VX gas.

Israel still manufactures Sarin, as does Saudi Arabia (evident since that's where the terrorists got it from)

They may not use them on record, but both have giant stock piles. For what reason who knows, but they're supposed to be for "research."

from another trusted news source of the left, written after the 2013 attack.

Anyone with a few years of training in chemistry and access to some freely available raw materials could easily produce chemical weapons like sarin gas, chemical weapons expert and Rice University professor James Tour told RT.
Chemical weapons: Easy to make and disperse, impossible to get rid of

RT:It’s suspected that sarin was used in that chemical attack in Syria. What is it and is it easily produced?
James Tour: It’s easily produced. Sarin is a nerve gas and it’s different than a typical chemical weapon being a nerve agent. It’s a lot more toxic.

RT:You say it’s easily produced. If, for example, stockpiles of sarin were removed from Syria, it can easily be made again, not just by authorities but by anybody?
JT: Anybody with access to some raw materials. The raw materials are not gotten at a grocery store, but they can come in very easily. One can buy on the chemical market items that are one step away from sarin, easily two steps away. So a chemist with about a Master’s level of training can produce sarin quite easily.

RT:So the rebels in Syria could easily have used chemicals themselves in an attack of that kind?
JT: They could if they had recruited some chemists with a few years of training in chemicals. It’s not something somebody on the street could pick up in a few weeks. They need a little more training than that, and they need proper facilities to make it. They need a chemical hood, but it certainly could be made.

so it not impossible for Sarin to be made with just a couple years or chemistry training and experience, or just about a masters level could make it. want to bet that russia has some of those people in the military. and who's to say they didn't pull a false flag and use it and then blame the rebels. i think it would be much easier for assad and russia to pull that off than the rebels.

Sounds reminiscent of the hunt for Iraqi WMD's in the 90's... yes this whole nonsense; has been going on that long, spreading out like a wildfire.

Hey everyone is fighting 10 miles away; what are we pissed off about? Nothing. Want to think of something? Ok! I am bored enough to do that.

...and it just goes on and on.

CIA likely reports to Central Bankers, who have demanded that Russia be taken down. Syria is just a conflict tool. Russia is scared for good reason. That's why they are showing their unstoppable scramjet nukes, and their giant sub sized Nuke torpedo, with the worst kind of radiation. They are saying " Stay back, leave us alone". The bankers will be in a safe place when they have the US preemptive strike on Russia. The rest of us will be screwed

Russia has already been paid by interested party to handle the situation... when military is being bought and sold via proxy. Russia is the U.S. number one competition in the rent an Army game. So of course people are going to get weird... Russia likes to get things handled and done quick and dirty less casualty then back to rebuilding; than dragging something out years and years and years.

The U.S.? Since much of the military stuff is contracted out then it benefits those with the contracts to keep the war machine rolling and dragging things out for maximum profit saying civilian casualty is the reason why... but if one were to add the numbers up over time in the quick and dirty over years?

It is war after all... if people want to play nice? That is called diplomacy; getting peoples asses to the table signing peace accords and making deals. Otherwise they are just playing war games with live ammo.

Hillary Clinton has now made statements about the Syrian War, saying the US should take out the Syrian Air Force and bomb the Airfields.

Here's what she had to say about the chemical weapons..

In light of the recent chemical attack, that agreement now looks moot and Clinton nodded to the possibility that it could have failed on Thursday, saying that they believed at the time "we had gotten rid of their stock" of chemical weapons. "Who knows whether they hid some or they bought more," she said. "We don't know. We just know the impact."

She also had some strange words about Assad's family in comparing Assad to Putin

"He is absolutely a prisoner of his family's expectations, his dead father's looming presence and his delusion, that I believe he now probably could pass a lie detector about, that everyone who opposes him is a terrorist," Clinton said of Assad, before adding, "That is how Putin thinks."

Clinton said that if she were in power, she would have told the Russians they were "either with us or against us on this no-fly zone."

It is time," Clinton said, "the Russians were afraid of us because we were going to stand up for the rights, the human rights, the dignity and the future of the Syrian people."

As far as I am concerned she has no say. Is she even in politics or using her influence to rabble rouse... and people talk about celebrities doing such a thing?

Career politicians are a plague.

The Leprechaun has spoken. Please Trump just do the exact opposite of what she was suggesting. There are also enough fake news popping up that it's pretty difficult to know what is really going on. I read multiple reports on Trump attacking Syria and at the same time that Trump isn't attacking them instead it is all a covert operation against Daesh.

The optimal word there is declared stockpiles. Gaddafi did the same with his declared stockpile but retained a secret cache. There is also the capability to produce on demand. Yes a huge stockpile was removed from Syria but all it takes is a secret cache and the capability to produce.

Poor Kerry, he took their word for it. Well, you can't just blame Kerry since this has become a global matter.

No, you can blame the entire administration which was soft on negotiations with everyone.

Basically, the Obama administration had their fingers crossed when they spoke, so it is legal.

Haha! Ahhh I remember that one. It was shortly after The United States vs. Hypocrites ruling which affirmed the right to only hold the other side accountable and give your side a free pass.

But what if you're a hypocrite with your fingers crossed?
