Well considering the guy that wrote the song had a long history of abusing women, it was pretty insane to start with.

Attack the messenger. Good tactic. Well played.

Meanwhile Bobby Dylan's talkin' about:

Man Of Peace
Written by: Bob Dylan

"Look out your window, baby, there’s a scene you’d like to catch

The band is playing “Dixie,” a man got his hand outstretched

Could be the Führer

Could be the local priest

You know sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace

He got a sweet gift of gab, he got a harmonious tongue

He knows every song of love that ever has been sung

Good intentions can be evil

Both hands can be full of grease

You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace

Well, first he’s in the background, then he’s in the front

Both eyes are looking like they’re on a rabbit hunt

Nobody can see through him

No, not even the Chief of Police

You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace

Well, he catch you when you’re hoping for a glimpse of the sun

Catch you when your troubles feel like they weigh a ton

He could be standing next to you

The person that you’d notice least

I hear that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace

Well, he can be fascinating, he can be dull

He can ride down Niagara Falls in the barrels of your skull

I can smell something cooking

I can tell there’s going to be a feast

You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace

He’s a great humanitarian, he’s a great philanthropist

He knows just where to touch you, honey, and how you like to be kissed

He’ll put both his arms around you

You can feel the tender touch of the beast

You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace

Well, the howling wolf will howl tonight, the king snake will crawl

Trees that’ve stood for a thousand years suddenly will fall

Wanna get married? Do it now

Tomorrow all activity will cease

You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace

Somewhere Mama’s weeping for her blue-eyed boy

She’s holding them little white shoes and that little broken toy

And he’s following a star

The same one them three men followed from the East

I hear that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace"

Just artists writing their perspectives. I realized that there is no man or woman who can bring peace to the world; not me, not you, not Bob, not John, nor even the great Shia (
). If any of us say we can then we are a LIAR. Even Jesus said He could not bring peace to the world so there ain't nothing John Lennon can say or do, neither. That's coming from a guy who loves John Lennon and my name here is from one of his songs.

"Vanity of vanities!" - King Solomon summed it up best. "...a time for peace and a time for war": "Revelation" even states it prophesying the Beast's 7 year itch; 3.5 years of each, peace and war (the true nature of the human without God and his utter failure even with complete authority to bring peace). That 3.5 figure is used a lot. Research it and you will know what I mean about the "time, two times and half a time" in both OT and NT. It is in Daniel's prophesies as well as "Revelation".

I think it has not been authorised by the Elohim to have peace just yet. Remember, the Beast makes peace between Israel and its enemies as an act of vanity and political exploit, only to fool Israel by bringing a false sense of security and politically deceiving the nations in John's "Revelation"; like Antiochus He has his own image raised in the Temple as god; ultimate psychotic God complex and atavism to Babylonian King, Egyptian Pharaoh and Roman Emperor maniac behavior. They are the true enemies of humanity and would have us enslaved in one way or another and forced to worship them and their religion or be killed (does that remind you of anybody?). Watch out, because...

"Sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace"!

Idealist stuff that won't change adults.

If children are raised to live by the golden rule, then peace might stand a chance.

Buy they aren't, and they raise children that are even worse.

This is why societies go through cycles with a huge breakdown at the end if the cycle .

The Man Comes Around by Johnny Cash

"And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder
One of the four beasts saying,
'Come and see.' and I saw, and behold a white horse"

There's a man goin' 'round takin' names
And he decides who to free and who to blame
Everybody won't be treated all the same
There'll be a golden ladder reachin' down
When the man comes around

The hairs on your arm will stand up
At the terror in each sip and in each sup
Will you partake of that last offered cup
Or disappear into the potter's ground?
When the man comes around

Hear the trumpets hear the pipers
One hundred million angels singin'
Multitudes are marchin' to the big kettledrum
Voices callin', voices cryin'
Some are born and some are dyin'
It's alpha and omega's kingdom come
And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree
The virgins are all trimming their wicks
The whirlwind is in the thorn tree
It's hard for thee to kick against the pricks

Till armageddon no shalam, no shalom
Then the father hen will call his chickens home
The wise man will bow down before the throne
And at his feet they'll cast their golden crowns
When the man comes around

Whoever is unjust let him be unjust still
Whoever is righteous let him be righteous still
Whoever is filthy let him be filthy still
Listen to the words long written down
When the man comes around

Hear the trumpets hear the pipers
One hundred million angels singin'
Multitudes are marchin' to the big kettledrum
Voices callin', voices cryin'
Some are born and some are dyin'
It's alpha and omega's kingdom come
And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree
The virgins are all trimming their wicks
The whirlwind is in the thorn trees
It's hard for thee to kick against the prick
In measured hundredweight and penny pound
When the man comes around

"And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts
And I looked, and behold a pale horse
And his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with him"

No matter at what point in history, those words seem like wishful thinking. The late 60's had about as much global turmoil as we do today. Chalk it up to drug induced euphoria.

I think this is a better anti war song than any of those hippies could manage. (With the exception of Johnny Cash, no hippy he).

The problem is that we're all hypocrites. Every last human that ever lived. So why listen to any of us, any of them?

That's truth right there.

Now, after we take our hero worship glasses off and our self righteous indignation cloak off, we can see that since we're all flawed. That we can listen to the message even if the messenger is not perfect.

Yes?

I agree. This society is reaching the end of its cycle. "The end" truly is nigh. I just hope humanity does something different next go around, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a repeat of the same horse #. Sorry, but my confidence in humanity as a collective isn't very high.

Singing songs about how nice the world would be or whatever for pay is contrary to the message.

Even the guy on the corner wants you to toss money into his open guitar case.
