So they're segregating themselves, now?

Like it or not, FB is a major player in the social/media universe.

True, but I'm not sure why grown adults would care what is posted in FB...or their policies.

FB policies and the posts made on FB have absolutely no effect on my life.

How 'bout you?

If they want to have a private meeting, then they should be able to.

I may not agree with everything they believe but they have the same rights as anyone else.

I see where you are coming from.

But this is literally, outright 'racism' in it's more pure and evil form.

Once you have established a 'THEM' and 'US', it's reared it's evil head of pure nationalism. Selfish if you ask me. No regard for community or bettering the society you live. Just going backwards.

Yeah. It is.

But we live in a free society. People are free to be racist.

I think they will lose a lot of support when they are telling some husbands and wives that they can't bring their spouse because they married someone non-black. Ridiculous what a way to include the whole community.

If a white group refuses blacks they are racists. Why the double standard?

White groups are just as free to have meetings where it is white only.

Call them whatever you want. there is no restriction on criticism.

But in a free society, people should have the freedom to meet with whom they want.

Once again, we agree.

Seems like it. If the point was to solve something, it would be wise to have all parties at the table.

As another post said them and us is a dangerous place, and I question what the true point of this club is.

What? a free society?

I know that white-only groups will get soundly criticized, but either you have one standard or you don't.

I believe in freedom. Not "conditional" freedom based on skin color or religion, or gender.

Just think for a second on how this could have an effect on your life.

The riots in LA had an effect on things in Mich. Like it or not, this could very well have effect your life.

And they are taking their freedoms for granted, with disregard for for their immediate community.
What example are they setting for future generations of 'African american's?'
It's not a good one, that's for sure. It's preaching exclusion rather than inclusion, it's preaching that old hatreds should be embraced, not diminished safely with time.

It says they allow children to join, but not white adults?
That's pure indoctrination, who knows what they would be telling other kids, who aren't 'black'.

Gotta remember, falsely cry fire, fire! In a movie theater, better face the consequences. In this case, it's far more complicated.

Good point, there are a bunch of people who are 1/2 black-white-married interracial.

What's the point?

Riots are a different matter.

Are we talking FB or riots?

I'm surprised that FB allowed this. Seems like maybe a little racist.

It was Twitter. And you missed the catch 22. If you identify yourself as as a person of the African Diaspora then you can attend their meetings.

The question is, which definition of identify are they using? The actual one, or the SJW one? If it is the SJW definition of identify then technically you should be able to stroll in and let them know that even though you may be a white male wearing a confederate flag hat that you do not identify with it and are actually a victim of African Diaspora. The great thing about it all is you may also later change your mind and become another identity.

Regardless, you still may suffer some sort of violence.

We all know why there is a double standard and while I agree they can bar whomever they wish from their meetings, now they have done so, they should be tossed in the same bin as the KKK.

William Wallace...."Freedom"

For one and all, no matter what, while not infringing the same for others...difficult...but the right tango to dance.

I wonder what they'd do to a white person who could walk in a show on their family tree where they have ancestors who were part of the Diaspora?

Not every person of slave descent is black today.

What you said was all correct.

But a free society isn't synonymous with a nice society.
