And if we just get rid of our military, all the world will suddenly live in peace, and we'll go out to space, right?

As much as I'd love to see us in space, as long as we argue over resources there will always be a need for a military and an arms race.

When we start running out of resources it will be war in space but we have to get there first.

Who said ridding military. More like stop wasting military resources on tanks and other ground junk by mass production and have them all over the world. How many tanks could be scrapped just to make a spacecraft? How many useless Armored vehicles that don't need to exist? Why the fk we selling more weapons to other countries who don't like us when the metal could be used for something else?

At least this is putting pressure on LM to execute.

Might have been a good idea for the USAF to buy small numbers of F-15E's during F-35 development as well...?

The money from those sales goes a long way. And the military won't be developing space. So that means their money won't go to getting us into space and out there. So what does it matter.

Then your just better off supporting countries that are actually trying to go to space like India or China.
Heck mind as well support China right now.

It seems like the military is too busy destroying our space opportunity rather than taking us there.

The military has never tried to get us into space. They have absolutely nothing to do with us going into space. That's why we have a civilian space agency. So complain to them about it.
